(PM News) The ban of hijab in Lagos Public institutions may cost the APC its political position in the state if the threat by Muslims students is anything to go by. The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria(MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit, has vowed to vote out the All Progressives Congress(APC) come 2015, in reaction to last Friday's High Court judgement upholding the ban of hijabs in public schools in the state. Justice Grace Onyeabo of the Ikeja High Court had in her judgement dismissed the suit by two teenage members of the group challenging the ban.

UEFA President, Michel Platini The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has slammed UEFA president Michel Platini for "interference" in the scheduling of the African Nations Cup held in Morocco in January 2015. Platini questioned whether the tournament should be postponed due to the Ebola outbreak in west Africa, with Morocco already having requested it to be moved. However, CAF have reacted angrily to the suggestions and insisted that UEFA should respect its ''sovereignty.'' June Steenkamp The mother of Oscar Pistorius's girlfriend insisted she did not want "revenge" Wednesday, the day after the disgraced South African athlete was handed a five-year jail term for shooting her daughter dead. A 20-year-old man in Ningi, the headquarters of Ningi Local Government Area of the state, has been arrested by the Bauchi state Police Command for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 16-month-old baby. According to reports, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Haruna Mohammed sent out a statement which read.. “On Sunday, October 19, at about 6.00 a.m., police detectives attached to Ningi Area Command arrested one, Annas Adamu, male and 20-year-old of Stadium road, Ningi Local Government Area.The suspect had unlawful carnal knowledge of his neighbour’s daughter, a 16-month-old baby, inside his matrimonial bedroom,” the PPRO said in the statement.
