EFCC returns Olisa Metuh to court, to slam him with fresh charges

The EFCC drove the embattled politician into the premises of the FCT High Court on Thursday morning, preparatory to slamming fresh charges on him.

The married couple nabbed a couple of moments alone together at the award ceremony, which was held at London's 02 Arena Husband and wife Rochelle and Marvin Humes caught a few moments alone together at the 2016 National Television Awards when they spent 10 minutes together in a disabled toilet. The presenting duo walked the red carpet together at London's 02 Arena ahead of the annual star-studded bash, but needed a couple of minutes once they were inside. A source told MirrorCeleb: "They snuck away from their suite and went into the disabled toilet together, even though the normal toilets were completely empty.

National Television Awards 2016 full winners list as Ant and Dec win for 15th year in a row

All the winners have been revealed for this year's NTAs  WireImage Ant and Dec were crowned TV Presenters of the Year at the National Television Awards on Wednesday night. The Geordie duo have now taken home the gong for a staggering fifteen consecutive years, but Dec said the honour doesn't get any less as the time progresses. He said: "Thank you so much, this is amazing. People said to us on the way tonight, 'Does it get boring winning awards?' No! It doesn't! If anything our gratitude has grown over the years because you never know when you're going to get it again."

Dasuki drags FG to ECOWAS court, demands N500m damages

•As judge orders DSS to produce him Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (retd), has dragged the Federal Government before ECOWAS Court in Abuja over his continued detention. He is also demanding payment of N500 million damages for alleged rights infringement. This is even as a Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday ordered the government to produce him by February 16. Dasuki is also urging the sub-regional court to order his release forthwith.

Zamfara governor denies dating Buhari’s daughter

 Gusau - Gov Abdulazieez Yari of Zamfara State has denied reports that he was romantically involved with a daughter of President Muhammad Buhari, Zarah. The governor, who doubles as the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) also denied divorcing one of his wives, Hadiza Umaru Shinkafi to accommodate Zarah. The news about the governor dating Zarah was published in two weekly publications – City People magazine and The Polity.

The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, said yesterday, that the ongoing anti-corruption war being waged by the commission would always be guided by strict adherence to the Rule of Law and national interest. Ibrahim Magu Magu, who spoke in Abuja, said EFCC, under his leadership, would abide by court orders in the discharge of its duties. The commission had in recent times been criticised for not releasing the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd.), after being granted bail by a FCT High Court.
