Justin Bieber And Lionel Richie's 17-Year-Old Daughter Are Now Instagram Official

Is it me you’re looking for?” is a question Lionel Richie would probably answer in the negative, if Justin Bieber ever asked for the singer’s permission to date his 17-year-old daughter. And yet, Orlando Bloom’s arch-nemesis has been linked to Sofia Richie over the past couple weeks, with the two going on hikes together, taking in ocean views, almost holding hands and flying to Japan for Bieber’s world tour. On Friday the duo finally made things Instagram official with a series of posts, indicating that they might have an “Endless Love” cuddle sesh in their future.  Bieber was the first to fuel the relationship rumors with a photo of himself smiling next to Richie in the back seat of a car. Of course, to keep it extra mysterious, he left the Instagram sans caption. Bieber later shared a more intimate image of the two in a hotel room, wi...

Amber Heard Slams Speculation That She Released Video of Johnny Depp Fight

Image
Amber Heard is fighting back against speculation that she released a video of Johnny Depp getting heated and angry in a kitchen. "I am not responsible for the release of the video. It was not what I wanted and I am doing what I can to force the media to take it off the internet," she said in a statement to E! News. "I underestimated the toll that this difficult few months have taken on me, emotionally and physically, and the efforts made by the media to intimidate and discredit me." She continued, "It is for that reason, and my desire to make the healthiest choice for myself, and hopefully for Johnny, that I am attempting to resolve this matter in the most private way possible." After a brief trip to London last week, Amber returned to Los Angeles Friday night. She was later photographed entering an office building Saturday morning, which is believed to be where she will be deposed by Johnny's legal team. In regards to the controversial vi...

Kevin Hart Marries Eniko Parrish: Get the Details About Their Big Day

Image
As Kevin Hart has told us before: I'm gonna lock the chocolate up and put it in the freezer...he's married!  A source confirms to E! News that the 37-year-old actor and his wife,  Eniko Parrish , tied the knot Saturday evening during a beautiful ceremony near Santa Barbara, Calif. The actor—who got down on one knee back in August of 2014—has talked to us quite a bit about the wedding, admitting his only job leading up to the big day was cutting the check. "I don't like to talk about it 'cause I don't know details," he told E! News in an interview last month. "What I do say is, 'Honey, you have an amount. Don't go above the amount. Come to me when it's time to sign the check. It's your day to be happy.'" However, he did help pick out the guest list, which he admits isn't always easy. His advice? "You make sure that you invite the people that can't come up to you later and go, 'Hey man why didn...

Breaking Down USA's 1,000 Summer Olympic Gold Medals

Image
Richard Heathcote/Getty Images The four women who captured the United States' 1,000th gold medal The United States became the first nation to win 1,000 Olympic gold medals Saturday night, and the four women who put America over the top by claiming the 4x100 medley relay in swimming couldn't have been any more appropriate. Since this is a team accomplishment—and a feat no other nation is even marginally close to duplicating—it makes perfect sense that a relay team should get the honor. Leading the way was backstroker Kathleen Baker, a 19-year-old whose Olympic resolve included regularly commuting 80 miles each way in North Carolina to practice with her coach and team of choice. Next up was feisty Lilly King, also 19, who had no problem with calling out a rival for a drug-cheating history before she won her gold in the breaststroke. The third leg belonged to butterfly specialist Dana Vollmer, the "momma on a mission," who gave birth just 17 months ago...

Bolt chases Olympic history in men's 100 meters

Image
RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — As Usain Bolt churned down the Olympic track, his main rival was trying to get in front of a TV monitor to catch a quick glimpse of the race. Justin Gatlin missed the Jamaican's first-round heat. That's OK, the American sprinter has seen plenty of Bolt to know exactly what to expect. Bolt is a huge favorite to win an unprecedented third straight Olympic title in the 100 meters on Sunday. And that's despite pulling out of the Jamaican trials last month because of a sore hamstring and wishing he had more races coming into Rio de Janeiro. It certainly hasn't changed his focus. "It's always to win. That's what I'm here for," said Bolt, who was 3-for-3 in races at the 2008 Beijing Games and again four years later in London. "That's what I'm going for. My focus is to go out there and do my best, and execute well." Bolt posted the fourth-fastest time in the first round (10.07 seconds), with Gatli...

How much do Olympians make for winning a gold medal?

Image
Photo: GABRIEL BOUYS, AFP/Getty Images Depending on what country you're competing for, an Olympic gold medal can lead to an enormous cash prize or nothing more than the pride of your grateful nation. Cash bonuses for gold medals are not uncommon in the Olympics, but the payoff varies wildly by country. Topping the cash incentives is Singapore, which awards its athletes $1 million Singapore dollars (over $700,000 US) if they bring home the gold. Singapore also offers sizable bonuses for silver ($379,000 US) and bronze ($189,000 US) medals. On the other end of the spectrum, countries like Norway and the United Kingdom have no cash bonuses for medaling. It's all up to the discretion of the individual Olympic commissions. There are sometimes addition bonuses too, awarded by individual sports commission or by grateful sponsors in the homeland. In 2008, a Belarusian sausage company offered free sausage for life to any athlete from Belarus who earned a gold medal. Now that's a pr...

No money was misappropriated in the 2016 budget, Dogara insists

Image
Abuja - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, on Saturday restated that no money was misappropriated, stolen or lost in the 2016 budget. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan. The statement insisted that there was no act of corruption by the speaker during and after the preparation of the 2016 budget. It quoted Dogara as urging Nigerians to be vigilant with respect to the execution of the budget "to ensure that they are not short-changed". It said that the speaker had denied the allegations against him by Rep. Abdulmumin Jibrin, describing them as false and baseless. "They are fictional and scandalous, untruths and falsehoods which will be dealt with at the appropriate time. "I wish to appeal to the public for patience as the truth which will vindicate the innocent in this unfortunate saga will unfold sooner than later," the statement further quoted him as saying...
