Huge congrats are in order for Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock, who welcomed a baby girl into the world on Thursday.

The singer took to Twitter to announce the news over the weekend - and revealed her cute choice of baby name:
"Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th!" she said.
"Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!"
Clarkson found out she was having a girl before the baby was born - but before that, she kind of predicted she was expecting a girl:
"I'm totally gonna have a girl. I'm manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you're gonna be like, 'That chick knew it!' " she said back in November.
Speaking about her baby name choice, Clarkson told TV talk show host Ellen Degeneres during her pregnancy that the name would stay the same whatever the sex of the baby:
"Honestly, the name we've picked, if it's a boy or a girl, it's the same name...You won't guess it. It's a random name. But it's not like … 'Blue Jazz.' It's not going to be a weird name."
We'd say River Rose is still pretty unique, Kelly, but still, congrats!
ON TUESDAY 21 JANUARY 2014 WE WROTE...
Congratulations to Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock, they are having a baby girl.
And where did she announce this exciting news? Why, Twitter of course. The global superstar took to the social networking site to announce the happy news to her fans.
We wonder whether Kelly will have another reason to celebrate at the weekend, she is up for a GRAMMY Award, after all. This Sunday we will see whether Kelly wins the gong for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration on Don't Rush.
But if Kelly doesn't win on Sunday, perhaps she could pack it all in and write self-help books on how to deal with a first time pregnancy. We'd buy it, but only if there was a chapter titled 'God Bless Potatoes'.

The American Idol champ is expecting her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock.
The singer confirmed the news on Twitter yesterday, posting an enthusiastic: "I'm pregnant!!!"
"Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever," she added.
The confirmation may not come as much of a surprise to many, as Kelly has been more than a little vocal about her desires to reproduce for a while now.
"More than anything, next I want a baby. Lots of them," she told US Magazinebefore she wed Blackstock in October.
"My record label is freaking out because all I can talk about now are babies. We're really excited and want to get our family started.
"I'm 31 and we'd like to do it the natural way. My eggs aren't getting any younger! So we're really excited."
"[Brandon] has two kids that I love and they are cool with it. We got the A-OK from them so we are ready to go. That's definitely the next big project we're going to start on."
In a coy but also MASSIVE TMI moment on Jay Leno last week, Clarkson played down baby speculation talk, telling the chat show host she wasn't planning on "announcing anything right now"… Before adding that she and her husband were going at it "like rabbits" in the meantime.
"[We want a baby] like now! Practice makes perfect!" she told Leno, laughing. "We do, we do. We're trying, trying, trying. We have two kids, and they're so great. And I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five."
So, there you have it. Clarkson = pregnant. Congrats.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he did not join the All Progressive Congress (APC) so as to run for the Presidency in 2015, but to nurture the party and ensure that good governance is entrenched in Nigeria come 2015. Atiku who spoke in an interview with the BBC Hausa service, monitored in Kaduna on Monday, maintained that if it were because of a presidential ambition, he had clear chances of occupying the number one seat when he was in office with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, or even recently when he was in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN ). He said he let that go in the interest of the nation. Atiku vowed that he would never return to the PDP, saying that from all indications, the party would no longer be what it used to be.
