Hostess Carol Vorderman glowed in a long black dress and fellow presenter Una Foden shone in a sleeveless classic evening gown made of heavy silk
The stars rolled up at the Irish Mirror’s first ever Pride of Ireland Awards 2014 tonight, oozing glamour to recognise brave and courageous people and celebrate their heroic acts.
From Una Foden and Carol Vorderman, to Louis Walsh and Jedward, stars dressed up in their most glitzy gowns and suits to recognise brave stars across the country.
Hostess Carol Vorderman glowed in a long black dress and fellow presenter and Saturdays singer Una Foden stole the show in a sleeveless cream and classic evening gown made of heavy silk.
With her hair loose and held to the side, the stunner kept all eyes on her in the strapless number - next to her presenting pals.
Carol, 53, flew herself from London to Dublin with her partner Graham Duffy by her side.
She presented an award to Sister Helen Culhane, who helps children deal with grief.

Music man Louis Walsh said: “It’s a wonderful thing to celebrate the goodness in people, the Irish generosity of spirit the bravery that keeps individuals and communities going in the hardest of times.

He is the face of terror. A ruthless leader with a twisted ideology. And the sadistic architect of a campaign of mayhem and misery. And yet, very little is known about Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram. He operates in the shadows, leaving his underlings to orchestrate his repulsive mandates. He resurfaces every once in a while in videotaped messages to mock the impotence of the Nigerian military. And he uses his faith to recruit the impressionable and the disenfranchised to his cause. He is a religious scholar Shekau was born in Shekau village that borders Niger. He studied under a cleric and then attended Borno State College of Legal and Islamic Studies for higher studies on Islam. That’s why he’s also known as ‘Darul Tawheed,’ which translates to an expert in monotheism, or the oneness of Allah. Place of birth: Yobe State
