OK, so a gust of wind blew Kate Middleton’s skirt up so high we saw the cheeks of her backside.

So what? It’s a fantastic backside.

It wasn’t mortifying or ­embarrassing as many po-face pundits would have us believe. It would only have been ­embarrassing had her bottom been lardy and speckled with cellulite.

Would we prefer it if she wore calf-length tweeds, frilly high-neck dresses and looked middle-aged and matronly?

Kate might be a duchess, but she’s also a hot woman with a great bod who’s admired and envied around the world for exactly that.

She’s brought back the beauty and the glamour that’s been missing from the House of Windsor since Diana died.

And like it or not, that’s big ­business for Britain.
