In every World Cup, a number of players go from relative unknowns to household names in the space of a month.
And for the benefit of us Premier League fans, a lot of them end up in England.
We are all hoping it will be some of England's young stars who announce themselves on the greatest stage, whether it be Ross Barkley, Raheem Sterling or another Three Lion.
But the reality is, there are several others who could make their mark in Brazil and put themselves in the shop window.
So before you flood your fantasy team with the likes of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, take a lot at this lot who could make a name for themselves over the next month. Hiroshi Kiyotake (Japan)
And while Shinji Kagawa and Keisuke Honda provide the much-needed guile, Alberto Zaccheroni will turn to Kiyotake as his outlet this summer.
The winger - who can also play up front - enjoyed a fine season with Nuremberg and a series of impressive displays could put him in the shop window. Ahmed Musa (Nigeria)

Wide boy: Nigeria starlet Ahmed Musa
Nigeria look set to vie with Bosnia for the runners-up spot in Group D and should they impress, Musa is likely to play a key role.
The 21-year-old is set to be deployed on the left wing by Stephen Keshi and after a fine season with CKSA Moscow, his stock is well and truly on the rise.
A lack of consistency has been pinpointed as his downfall but his extravagant dribbling ability will strike fear into opposition defences.
Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic provide much of the attacking threat but at the other end of the field, Kolasinac will be equally important.
The 20-year-old left-back only pledged his allegiance to Sesad Susic's men in November and after forcing his way into their tournament plans, could increase his burgeoning reputation.

Industrial talent: Son has yet to show his best for his country
The 21-year-old is the current darling in his homeland and is one of many names to be linked with a switch to Liverpool this summer.
Likely to be deployed on the left wing, Son is set to play a key role this summer, with Bolton's Lee Chung-Yong on the opposite flank.
He ended the season in fine form with Bayer Leverkusen and his pace and intelligent movement makes him one to watch.
Granit Xhaka (Switzerland)
Just like similarly-sounding countryman Xherdan Shaqiri, the 21-year-old has attracted the interest of Liverpool in recent times.
He has already won 22 caps for his country and as a steely, hard-tackling midfielder provides the balance for the Swiss, alongside skipper Gokhan Inler.
Should they spring a surprise, as they did against Spain in 2010, the Borussia Monchengladbach man will be instrumental.
Marcelo Diaz (Chile)

Metronome: Diaz will sit in Chile's midfield, keeping possession
Diaz has even been likened to Spanish stalwart Xavi - who he will face in Group B - as he continues to go about his business without the glamour of his colleagues.
The 27-year-old is a trusty lieutenant of Sampaoli's from his club days and could attract interest from across Europe after the World Cup.
Aboubakar enjoyed an excellent season with Lorient, finishing as Ligue 1's third-highest top scorer with 16 goals.
He announced himself on the international stage with a stunning strike against Portugal in March and provides the pace and power so often associated with skipper Eto'o.
Abel Aguilar (Colombia)

Midfield general: Aguilar will look to supply others from the base of Colombia's midfield
Aguilar is not the best-known player in the squad but enjoyed a fine season with Toulouse, and has the full trust of boss Jose Pekerman.
Should Colombia make the latter stages, he will play a key role and with that, surely attract some of Europe's heavyweights.
Oleg Shatov (Russia)
The 23-year-old is something of a newcomer to the international set-up having been playing in the second division until two years ago.
He has already scored in his three caps to date with boss Fabio Capello showing faith in him already.
The Italian has never been afraid to make a big call and could well give Shatov a chance to shine this summer.
Julian Green (United States)

Fledgling hope: Julian Green is the United States youngest star
The 19-year-old was the major beneficiary from the surprising omission of US legend Landon Donovan.
Green is currently on the books at Bayern Munich and although he is yet to make a Bundesliga appearance for Pep Guardiola's side, he did appear briefly in the Champions League last season.
A quick and skillful winger is something of a wildcard for Jurgen Klinsmann, who provides a different option to most in the squad.

He is the face of terror. A ruthless leader with a twisted ideology. And the sadistic architect of a campaign of mayhem and misery. And yet, very little is known about Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram. He operates in the shadows, leaving his underlings to orchestrate his repulsive mandates. He resurfaces every once in a while in videotaped messages to mock the impotence of the Nigerian military. And he uses his faith to recruit the impressionable and the disenfranchised to his cause. He is a religious scholar Shekau was born in Shekau village that borders Niger. He studied under a cleric and then attended Borno State College of Legal and Islamic Studies for higher studies on Islam. That’s why he’s also known as ‘Darul Tawheed,’ which translates to an expert in monotheism, or the oneness of Allah. Place of birth: Yobe State
