Cheryl Cole has told her new husband that she doesn't want him to continue working.
The brunette is so , is so deeply in love she even told Jean-Bernard her £16million fortune means he will never have to lift a finger in the world of work.
Good news for Jean-Bernard, who has spent the past decade partying with the world’s rich and famous in the south of France, the Caribbean and New York.
The self-confessed playboy has left a string of stunning starlets in his slipstream and it took him just six months to make the singer his wife.
But even his closest friends on the Cote d’Azur in southern France are baffled by the 33-year-old’s ability to keep up with celebrities who don’t think twice about spending tens of thousands of pounds on one night’s partying.
They were even more taken aback by the fortune spent on Jean-Bernard’s secret wedding in the Royal Family’s favourite Caribbean playground Mustique.
Yesterday his best friend and business partner Franck Twister revealed that Cheryl, 31, is so deeply in love she even told Jean-Bernard her £16million fortune means he will never have to work again.
“I believe Cheryl has told him she doesn’t want him to carry on working,” Franck says of his friend, who comes from a working-class family.
“It may be that he gets involved in restaurants and bars but he’s never going to do a 9-5 job.
“He’s too interested in having fun to want to work.”
For two weeks every spring, to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival, the man his friends describe as a “social butterfly” pins himself down to the luxury resort on the French Riviera to run the celebrity pop-up bar Cosy Box.
Jean-Bernard rubs shoulders with rock stars, Hollywood actors and the super-rich, making sure his venue is on the list of places to drink for the A-listers who arrive by private jet and mega-yacht.
It was during one of his champagne-filled nights in Cannes that he began romancing Cheryl.

Franck, 43, who has known builder’s son Jean-Bernard since the age of 11, says: “We all laughed because he’s been with so many girls, all the time a new one. But one day he walked into the bar with Cheryl Cole.
“She doesn’t have the same profile in France as she does in the UK, so nobody was like, ‘Wow, look who he’s with’.
“He walks in with beautiful girls all the time. He has mixed with the Rolling Stones, Hollywood actors like Ryan Gosling and Benicio del Toro.
“It’s part of his job, getting these people into our bar for two weeks a year.
“It’s the only job I’ve ever known him have in all the time I’ve known him.
“So nobody really thought much when he starting hanging around with Cheryl.
“But then things got serious between them. They became inseparable, laughing and joking away like little children.
“She has a very strong accent but he is completely fluent in English so they have no problem communicating.
“He has spent so much time in New York he has a slight American accent. I could tell that he loved her from the way he acted around her. It was definitely love.
“He always went for brunettes. The girls I saw him with were all of a similar type. They all looked a bit like Cheryl.”
Franck, currently a manager at the exclusive Gotha nightclub in Cannes, says: “We had no idea he was going to get married.
“He didn’t say a word about it. Then I got a call out of the blue from him saying, ‘I’ve just got married, please don’t tell anyone. We don’t want anyone to find out yet.’ “He told me, ‘We are of the same spirit’.
“I almost dropped the phone I was so surprised. It was very, very fast but then love is love, and if that’s what makes him happy then I say go for it. I’ve known him since he was a young boy and I’ve never seen him so happy.
“He comes from a very small family and grew up in provincial France. He has no brothers or sisters and being an only child he has always wanted to be part of a big family.”

Franck goes on: “He was devastated when his mother died. She had cancer and passed away in 2006. After that he spent more time in New York. He has such a small family being an only child that losing her was difficult for him.
“He has told me he wants to have beautiful children with Cheryl. This is a huge priority for him.
“They have enjoyed their time meeting together, getting to know each other, going wild and partying on the French Riviera.
“Partying is something Jean-Bernard has been doing his whole life and he has been talking recently about going steady and settling down with the right girl.”
However, in all the years Franck has known him, he says he has never known Jean-Bernard to commit to a long-term relationship.
Franck says he previously preferred a “playboy, jet-set lifestyle”, living in New York one month, then Los Angeles and Cannes the next.
One waitress, who now works in Mocca restaurant bar in Cannes, which transforms once a year into Cosy Box, says: “He loves acting the millionaire playboy. But he’s not a millionaire. He just loves the lifestyle, hanging out with actors and beautiful people, drinking champagne and good wine.
“He’s constantly on holiday and goes quite a lot to St Barts in the Caribbean. I’ve heard he has some relatives on the island.”
Speaking of his friend’s background, Franck explains: “His family home is in the countryside, in Aix-en-Provence. His family are not super-rich but they have some money. I wouldn’t say they’re multi-millionaires like Cheryl. Nothing like that.
“His father works in the construction industry.”
And unlike his father, who did not attend the wedding, it appears that socialite Jean-Bernard has never held down a steady job.
Franck says: “In all the time I’ve known him, the only job I’ve ever known him having is at Cosy Box for two weeks a year. He is now going to live with Cheryl in London for a while. I’ve spoken to him in the past about expanding the bar to London and New York, into a chain.”
The on-off state of Jean-Bernard’s employment raises questions over who paid for Chez’s £300,000 engagement ring and wedding band.
She posted photos of the stunning jewellery when she announced her wedding online.
Cheryl wrote: “I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news. Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.”
The X Factor judge is thought to be so smitten that she has not signed a prenuptial agreement to protect her fortune, built up since her days in Girls Aloud.
Cheryl has so far been unlucky in love, divorcing footballer Ashley Cole after four years of marriage in 2010 following cheating allegations.
She then dated American dancer Tre Holloway but they split last year.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he did not join the All Progressive Congress (APC) so as to run for the Presidency in 2015, but to nurture the party and ensure that good governance is entrenched in Nigeria come 2015. Atiku who spoke in an interview with the BBC Hausa service, monitored in Kaduna on Monday, maintained that if it were because of a presidential ambition, he had clear chances of occupying the number one seat when he was in office with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, or even recently when he was in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN ). He said he let that go in the interest of the nation. Atiku vowed that he would never return to the PDP, saying that from all indications, the party would no longer be what it used to be.
