Gulak Falls Under Boko Haram
Suspected Boko Haram insurgents Friday night launched a massive attack on Gulak, hometown of a former presidential adviser and governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Ahmed Gulak.
The siege on Gulak came on the heels of similar attacks by the insurgents on Gworza and Bama towns in neighbouring Borno State, and Madagali, in Adamawa State.
Sources disclosed that as at about 10pm local time, the insurgents were in the thick of their reign of terror, shooting people, bludgeoning others, and torching houses.
It was unclear if the insurgents met with any resistance from the soldiers stationed around the towns.
Details coming.
