Remi Oyo is Dead


Late Remi Oyo
Immediate past Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria, Mrs. Remi Oyo, is dead, aged 62.
According to a reliable source, she died on Wednesday in London. The cause of her demise is not yet known but people who saw her during a send-off for her by NAN said she was very emaciated.
A veteran journalist and former president of the Nigerian Gulld of Editors, she was appointed MD of NAN in July 2007 and served n that capacity until 2013.
She is survived by two children, a male and a female.
