Rihanna once made a fan’s dreams come true after arriving to a prom as his surprise date, but she’s not up for that anymore – no matter what your story is.

An Instagram reply from the Diamonds hitmaker has gone viral, claiming to be from Rihanna to a fan – shooting their prom dreams down in flames with just one word.

Rihanna declined the offer from a fan on Instagram to who asked the singer to the prom if they were able to reach 100,000 retweets

In a photo of a message to Rihanna, Holyyonce wrote: “Hi rihanna! I’m a huge fan!! You’ve inspired me a lot Ive looked up to since I was 12 and I've had some issues in school like bullying and frequent panic attacks and prom is coming up soon and I was wondering if this would get say 100,000 retweets on Twitter will you go to prom with me?”
