Obasanjo has denied having anything to do with Anne Welsh

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has denied having anything to do with ex-CEO of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, Anne Welsh, after she admitted using the foundation as a front to operate a "well-oiled money-laundering scheme for many years".

Mrs. Welsh was photographed and videotaped exploiting the Ebola Virus Disease tragedy in West Africa to help a group of “Lebanese businessmen” who wished to donate money to the Obasanjo Foundation for some work in Sierra Leone.
She had planned to illegally launder 4.9 million dollars through the Foundation, in exchange for a fee of $900,000.

Mr. Obasanjo who clarified allegations of his complicity in the graft also told reporters that his Foundation has reported the matter to the UK Charity Commission and the London Metropolitan Police, while noting that a Mr. Franklyn Lisk is now the CEO of the Foundation.
