Sky-watchers will be able to see partial solar eclipse in Antartica and southern Africa today.

On Sunday, the moon's disk will glide across the face of the sun creating a partial solar eclipse just after the sun rises.

Total solar eclipse is a rare phenomena and occurs only when the sun, earth and moon, all three come in a perfect alignment. Today the earth will pass into the moon's outer shadow cone known as the penumbra and will create an impressive show. Almost 79% of the sun will be covered in today's solar eclipse.
