Oyo state government reaches agreement with labour, promise to pay two months salaries, as labour calls off strike
Oyo state government has assured workers in the state of an immediate release of one month salary following an agreement reached by a committee on payment of salaries comprising members of the state labour union and officials of the state government
The secretary to the state government Mr. Olalekan Alli gave the assurance while addressing a press conference at the state secretariat
Our correspondent reports that the state labour union had since called off its over one month industrial action following an agreement to pay two months salaries to the state workers
Mr. Olalekan Alli also noted that with both party haven't learnt their lessons from the impasse, situations of such nature would not arise in the future if all parties were transparent and understanding.
The SSG however raised up, that total compliance to the suspension of the strike action would take effect from tomorrow, with all public schools, and state government workers resuming to their duty post.
