Well, hello! Adele returns to Bay Area
The wait is over. Adele is on her first North American tour in five years, and she is rewarding Bay Area fans for their patience with not one, not two, but three local shows.
The British pop singer performs at SAP Center in San Jose on Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31, then moves to Oracle Arena in Oakland on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Tickets for the shows in support of her most recent album, “25,” which sold a record-breaking 3.4 million copies in its first week, were snatched up as soon as they went on sale in December. The lucky few who scored a pair get to see a singer who has a singular ability for making even the biggest room feel intimate with her crass jokes and that voice that makes everyone’s knees go weak.
Adele: 7:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, July 30-31. $39.95-$157. SAP Center, 525 W. Santa Clara St., San Jose. 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2. Oracle Arena, 7000 Coliseum Way, Oakland. www.ticketmaster.com
