Ronaldo, Pepe back to Real Madrid training after Euro 2016 win
It had been feared that Portugal captain Ronaldo, stretchered off during the final win over France with knee ligament damage, could have missed the start of the domestic season.
But the 31-year-old, along with defender Pepe, was back in training as Zinedine Zidane’s side continue their preparations for the opening La Liga game against Real Sociedad on Aug. 21.
Both players missed Tuesday’s dramatic 3-2 UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla but took part in indoor training and running sessions.
