This well-oiled Tongan athlete is the Rio Olympics opening ceremony standard-bearer
Flagbearer Pita Nikolas Taufatofua of Tonga, in his scene stealing turn.
Viewers around the world tuning in to the Rio Olympics 2016 opening ceremony on Saturday morning (local time), couldn't take their eyes off one oiled-up flag bearer.
Pita Taufatofua, who carried the national flag for Tonga, took the opportunity to showcase his rippled torso and sculpted abs by using plenty of baby oil.
It didn't take long for Twitter to very nearly lose the plot.

Pita Nikolas Aufatofua raises the bar.
"Tongan flag bearer just goes to show how nothing in life can't be improved with a grass skirt and bottle of baby oil," added another.
If that Tongan flag bearer used any more baby oil, he'd be frictionless. #Rio2016
Other viewers that shared their commentary via social media quickly decided that Taufatofua had single-handedly "stolen the show" and "won the night".
Taufatofua certainly didn't have any easy act to follow, with Brazilian-born supermodel Gisele Bundchen first to grace the runway at the Maracana stadium.
One glorious, shiny Tongan gentleman. Phwoar!! #Tonga
The internet has since dubbed the flag bearer the "Tongan Hulk Hogan".
