If My Husband Asks Me To Stop Acting, I Will – Dakore

Dakore Egbuson-Akande has revealed that she will stop acting if and when her husband asks her to. The actress revealed this in a recent interview with a national daily over the weekend. Though it is dependent on her husband, she insists that everything is “dependent on how he asks”.
Egbuson-Akande was speaking after reports emerged that she has taken a leave of absence from acting, because her father in-law and her husband asked her to stop.
“That was a lie. People just cook up stories from nowhere and some other people just believe them. They didn’t see me for a while and they started peddling rumours about me. I just had to take a break from acting. Something more important came along. I fell in love. I had to give more time to my relationship to make sure I nurtured it away from the public eye, as much as I could. I took an inadvertent break to focus on my relationship.
Being a career woman is great and I was lucky to have some success at it, but at the end of the day, family and having a stable, happy home is more important to me and I knew that something would have to give. At that time, it was my career that had to give in. Nobody told me to stop acting: Not my father-in-law, not my husband,” she said.

What if they did? “Of course, I will [stop acting]. And that will be my husband.

El-Rufai’s Son Killed In Auto Crash

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has lost one of his sons in a car crash. Hamza El-Rufai died Tuesday morning in Abuja. The former Minister and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, broke the news on his faceboook page today. El-Rufai wrote: “From Allah, we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son, Hamza El-Rufai who died in a motor accident in Abuja.” See more photo below:

Atiku: I Did’t Join APC to Contest for Presidency

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that he did not join the All Progressive Congress (APC) so as to run for the Presidency in 2015,  but to nurture the party and ensure that good governance is entrenched in Nigeria  come 2015. Atiku who spoke in an interview with the BBC Hausa service, monitored in Kaduna on Monday,  maintained that if it were because of a  presidential ambition, he had clear chances of occupying the number one seat when he was in office with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, or even recently when he was in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN ).
