The Uruguay star will have a medical to finalise the transfer this week, but his biting ban means Barca WON'T be able to unveil him
Luis Suarez has arrived in Barcelona in order to undergo his medical and complete his £75m switch from Liverpool to Barcelona.
But despite appearing in press material released by Barcelona ahead of signing, Suarez WON'T be able to be publicly unveiled by the club until after his fourth-month biting ban.
FIFA have deemed that such an event would define a "football activity" - from which Luis Suarez is banned after biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's World Cup clash against Italy.
But Suarez will not be withheld from undergoing a medical at Barcelona, and sealing the formalities of his move, which is thought to be for a fee of around £75m.
The fee will make him the most expensive signing in the Catalan club's history, though he will see his wages slashed if he bites another player.
As revealed by the Sunday People, the 27-year-old striker could see his £10-million-a-year pay packet slashed by £3m if he bites for a fourth time.
