The 26-year-old Golden State Warriors player posted bail and is due to be arraigned by July 20
An employee at the Dublin Square pub says Green was at the bar from 12:45am to 1:20am, but didn't get into any fights there
He was arrested around 2:28am about three blocks away
Green is scheduled to be in Las Vegas from July 18-21 for Olympics training camp
Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, who is expected to represent the United States in the Rio Olympics, was arrested for an alleged misdemeanor assault, ESPN reported on Monday.
The 26-year-old Green was detained on Sunday in East Lansing, Michigan where he played four seasons of college basketball for Michigan State, according to court documents obtained by the network.
According to the documents, Green was arrested on a misdemeanor assault and battery charge in the early morning hours on Sunday.
He was released on a $200 bond and is scheduled to be back in court on July 20.
If convicted he could face a maximum $500 fine and 93 days in jail.
Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth of the East Lansing Police says Green was taken into custody around 2:28am - 'letting-out time- for the bars in the area.
Nick Guerrant, an employee at the Dublin Square pub and restaurant told theDetroit News that Green was at the bar from 12:45am to 1:20am.
Guerrant added that Green was traveling with five other people and did not get into any altercations or arguments at the bar.
Green was arrested about three blocks away from the bar. It's unclear if he visited any other bars in the area.
