Ahmed Musa, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sofiane Feghouli... the top 10 Premier League signings who could turn out to be bargains this season

It’s been another busy summer of transfer business in the Premier League, with pretty much everyone splashing the cash as the lucrative new television deal comes into effect.

Of course, we know about the megabucks moves involving Paul Pogba, Michy Batshuayi, N’Golo Kante, Granit Xhaka and Leroy Sane at the title contenders.

But what about those top-flight transfers that might have gone under-the-radar? Sportsmail picks out 10 players who changed clubs this summer to keep an eye on.

Paul Pogba is the biggest signing this summer, but who are the others set to star?

AHMED MUSA (CSKA Moscow to Leicester City, £18m)

In a bid to prove that last season’s incredible Premier League title triumph was not a one-off, Leicester smashed their transfer record to sign the talented Nigerian Ahmed Musa.

The forward has pace to burn and introduced himself with two stunning goals in Leicester’s pre-season friendly with Barcelona.

Paired with Jamie Vardy in attack and Leicester have the speediest front line in the Premier League.

LEWIS COOK (Leeds United to Bournemouth, £6m)

Lewis Cook has done so much, so young that it’s easy to forget the midfielder is still only 19. He had been an indispensable part of the Leeds United team for two seasons, showing class and composure in the heart of the pitch.

The England Under 19 international is destined for the Premier League but didn't look too likely to accomplish that aim with Leeds in the near-future, hence his move to Bournemouth, who could have a real bargain for £6m.

PIERRE-EMILE HOJBJERG (Bayern Munich to Southampton, £12m)

The box-to-box midfielder was earmarked as one of the most talented youngsters in Europe and was greatly admired by Pep Guardiola when the manager came to Bayern Munich.

However, the serial success of the Bavarians makes it a very difficult team to break in to and the young Dane found himself behind Toni Kroos, Thiago and Bastian Schweinsteiger in the pecking order, leading to a fall-out with Guardiola.

Hojbjerg is still only 20, however, and will want to make a fresh start in England.

FERNANDO LLORENTE (Sevilla to Swansea City, £5m)

This transfer raised a few eyebrows but Swansea have signed a proven goalscorer, especially when he was at Athletic Bilbao and during the first part of his spell at Juventus.

He played a lesser role at Sevilla but the World Cup and European Championship winner will be the main man at Swansea and we’ll see if he can cut it in the Premier League.

Francesco Guidolin will ensure he features prominently in a front line that looks a bit lightweight.

JEROME SINCLAIR (Liverpool to Watford, £4m)

It was unlikely that the talented striker was going to make it at Liverpool given the intense competition for places, so the 19-year-old has taken the bold step of leaving them for Watford, where first-team opportunities should be more forthcoming.

Sinclair scored tonnes of goals for Liverpool’s youth teams and it is up to him now to prove that penalty box sharpness in the Premier League.

VIKTOR FISCHER (Ajax to Middlesbrough, £3.8m)

As we all know, Ajax have a fantastic production line and Fischer, who had been compared to Dennis Bergkamp in some quarters, looked set to make a monumental impact until he suffered a hamstring tear in 2014 and ended up spending 14 months on the sidelines.

So the Dane arrives on Teesside with plenty to prove but at the age of 21 still has lots of time to achieve his aims.

JOHANN BERG GUDMUNDSSON (Charlton Athletic to Burnley, £2.5m)

If you can’t beat them, sign them. There was always going to be plenty of interest in the Icelandic stars who humiliated England at Euro 2016 and Burnley were quick to sign winger Johann Gudmundsson as Charlton tumbled into League One.

Gudmundsson played all but four minutes of Iceland’s Euro campaign and performed impressively, so should offer Sean Dyche something different as they bid to remain in the top-flight.

RAMADAN SOBHI (Al-Ahly to Stoke City, £5m)

Fresh from helping Martin Jol’s Al-Ahly win the Egyptian championship, Sobhi is hoping to bring the hype around him in his homeland to the Potteries.

The 19-year-old winger earned the nickname ‘Ramadona’ after his performances last season and he has set his sights on developing into one of Europe’s best players.

He may have to wait patiently for his opportunity at the Britannia Stadium, but time is on his side.

SOFIANE FEGHOULI (Valencia to West Ham United, free)

Feghouli announced himself to the Hammers faithful with a well-taken solo goal against Domzale in the Europa League last week and comes with high expectations after five seasons as a regular in the Valencia side.

The Algerian winger should bring pace and skill to Slaven Bilic’s team, though it remains to be seen whether he convinces enough to be a regular starter.

NAMPALYS MENDY (Nice to Leicester City, £13m)

Replacing N’Golo Kante - Leicester’s outstanding performer last season - is no easy task, but Claudio Ranieri has placed his faith in Nampalys Mendy, the French gem who has come in from Nice.

Ranieri knows the midfielder well from Monaco, where he publicly compared him to Chelsea legend Claude Makelele.

Mendy didn’t stay at Monaco but moved along the coast to Nice, where he showed superb leadership on the field and became one of Ligue 1’s best defensive midfielders. Next stop, the Premier League.
