The star dodged recent controversies over photoshopped images to dazzle the waiting crowds - even if it looked like one was about to bash her

This might look like a fan with a disproportionately large hand punching Mariah Carey, 44, in the face, but we believe they were actually going in for a hug at the Hercules premiere in LA.
Mariah was still wowing the crowds despite recent controversy over allegedly photoshopped pictures.
And sales of her latest album Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse marked the diva's lowest sales debut for a non-holiday studio album.

She was also recently involved in an embarrassing incident when she was caught passing a photo of herself off on Twitter as current… that was actually from 1997.
The singer wasn't the only big name at the premiere, of the mythological blockbuster starring Dwayne Johnson.           
Eddie Murphy and model girlfriend Paige Butcher were also among the celebrity guests, as well as Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue.

US doctor shot dead in Pakistan

An American volunteer cardiologist was shot dead in Pakistan on Monday, a member of his minority Ahmadi community said, in the latest attack on a group that says it is Muslim but whose religion is rejected by the state. Mehdi Ali Qamar had taken his wife, young son and a cousin to a graveyard in Punjab province at dawn to pray when he was shot, said Salim ud Din, a spokesperson for the Ahmadi community. "He came here just one or two days ago to work at our heart hospital, to serve humanity and for his country," Din said. "Two persons came on motorbikes. They shot 11 bullets in him." Qamar was born in Pakistan but moved abroad in 1996. He had returned to do voluntary work at a state-of-the-art heart hospital built by the Ahmadi community in the eastern town of Rabwah. Qamar, aged 50, moved to Columbus, Ohio, in the United States, where he founded an Ahmadi centre and raised funds for medical charities in Pakistan, Din said.
