Military to get more firepower— Obanikoro
Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, yesterday, said that the military was to procure more hardware to effectively curb insurgency in the country.
Speaking in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while on a tour of Navy formations in the state, he said that the Federal Government had approved the release of funds for the acquisition.
“President Goodluck Jonathan is committed to enhancing our military efficiency and capacity to deliver in the fight against insurgency. In the fight against terrorism, the President has approved huge acquisitions to build up the capacity of our military as this had not been done in the last 25 years.
