Pregnant Alicia Keys Leads Protest For Chibok Girls In New York
American singer, Alicia Keys organized a protest in New York City today, October 14 to raise awareness about the over 200 Chibok girls who were kidnapped in April by Boko Haram

Alicia Keys has lent her voice to calls for the over 200 abducted Chibok girls to be rescued from their captors.The singer led a protest at the Consulate General of Nigeriain New York with 30 other people holding signs that read “Bring Back Our Girls”, "We Are Here" and "Safe Schools Now!"
The protesters are also said to have chanted "Bring back our girls" and "When do we want them? Now! Now! Alive!"
The pregnant singer, who already has a 4-year-old child with music producer Swizz Beatz, said in an interview:
"Today is my son's birthday and it is also making me stand in solidarity with all the mothers of the Chibok girls who have been abducted for six months and are still missing. And it is just outrageous that that's going on,"
"Some people have even told me they've heard things about `there's been progress,' but there hasn't been progress because the girls aren't back," Keys said. "So I think that we get mixed information. We don't know, so we just have to keep being made aware of what's happening."
The #BringBackOurGirls group in Nigeria also held a protest at the Presidential Villa in Abuja today to demand the girls’ rescue.
The over 200 Chibok schoolgirls were kidnapped on April 14, 6 months ago.
