Kimberley, who has been dating boyfriend Justin for over ten years now, will now be the second mum of the former girl band after Nadine Coyle recently gave birth to a baby daughter.

Mr Morgan says he is in discussions about future projects at CNN Piers Morgan's prime-time  talk show  on US TV network CNN is to end. The former Daily Mirror editor   told The New York Times  it had been "a painful period" for the show, which has suffered lacklustre ratings. CNN's audience had tired of hearing a Briton weigh in on American cultural issues, he said. Mr Morgan said he was in discussions with CNN about a new role at the channel following the end of the show, probably in March.

Nigeria’s borders with the Republic of  Cameroon  in Adamawa State have been closed as part of measures to check the influx of miscreants into the country and enhance full implementation of the state of emergency imposed by President Goodluck Jonathan on the three  North Eastern  states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe. The   Brigade Commander  of the 23rd Armour Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Yola Brigadier General Rogers Iben Nicholas, confirmed  the closure. He stated that the decision to close the Adamawa border with Cameroon was informed by the need for  full compliance  to the state of emergency. He said the borders were partially closed at the declaration of the emergency rule in the three states, but it became imperative to completely seal-up the borders against illegal movement in and out of the country.

Not less than 15,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) defected to the Peoples  Democratic Party  (PDP) in Imo State. The  former  APC members were led by the former governor of Imo State Chief Achike Udenwa, Chief Mike Ahamba, and a former secretary to Imo State government,Chief Cosmas Iwu among others. Senator Ifeanyi Araraume had earlier announced his defection to PDP. Among those that decamped from APGA was Senator Chris Anyanwu, who is representing Owerri zone in the National Assembly . Welcoming them at a PDP rally held in Owerri yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan advised the decampees to close ranks with other people in order to  reclaim  Imo in 2015.

U.S. and Mexican authorities captured the world’s most powerful drug lord at a  hotel in Mazatlan , Mexico on Saturday after a massive search through the home state of the man whose global organization is the leading supplier of cocaine to the United States. Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, 56, looked pudgy, bowed and much like his wanted photos when he arrived in Mexico City from Mazatlan in Sinaloa state. He was marched by masked marines across the airport tarmac to a helicopter waiting to whisk him to jail. Guzman was arrested by the Mexican marines at 6:40 a.m. in a high-rise condominium fronting the Pacific. He was caught with an unidentified woman, said one official not authorized to be quoted by name, who added that the U.S.  Drug Enforcement Administration  and the Marshals Service were “heavily involved” in the capture. Guzman faces multiple federal drug trafficking indictments in the U.S. and is on the DEA’s most-wanted list. His drug empire stretches throughout  North

Practically every crisis in  Nigeria  since independence has its roots in this attitude. i. The Yoruba elite and area-boy politics; ii. Igbo marginalisation and the responsible limits of retribution; and iii. The Yoruba Factor and “Area-boy” Politics.

More facts have emerged over the probe of the allegedly missing N20 billion by the  Senate finance committee  as feelers from within showed that nothing incriminating has been found against the oil ministry and its agencies. Checks inside the committee showed that rather than the big discovery of fraud and mismanagement that neccesitated the probe,senators have discovered that former Central Bank Governor ,Sanusi Lamido raised false alarm and misled the committee. The committee is also said to be unhappy that the  minister of finance , Okonjo Iweala was not forthcoming in her testimonies especially when it was clear that Sanusi was literally lying in his presentations.
