Actress Lupita Nyong'o cast in new Star Wars movie

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o has been cast in the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII," Walt Disney Co's Lucasfilm said on Monday. Nyong'o, whose first film role last year in "12 Years a Slave," earned her the Academy Award for best supporting actress, will also joining Gwendoline Christie of HBO's "Game of Thrones," in the film. Their roles have not been announced. Lupita has been cast in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

It was reported on May 29 that the Borno State Commissioner for Education, Musa Kubo revealed that a  total of the 30 escaped girls have reunited with their families .

Commercial sex workers in Bauchi State, northern Nigeria have cried out over low patronage from their clients. Vanguard reports that prostitutes in the northern state blamed the decline in patronage on insecurity in neighbouring states of Plateau, Borno, Yobe  and Adamawa. It was also gathered that most of the owners of hot spots and brothels around some major streets within the metropolis have also complained about low patronage from clients who usually engage the services of the sex workers. Super Eagles Boss Stephen Keshi has released his final 23 man list for the upcoming 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil. The Big boss had sent the list to NFF before making it Public for transmission to FIFA. Keshi choose to talk to the seven dropped players before his list was aired to the Nigerian audience and media. Police Commissioner, Joseph Mbu, Today revealed why his officers stopped today's Chibok Protests demanding the rescue of over 250 girls kidnapped in Chibok, Borno State. Mbu said that the protests pose a security risk to the area and told his officers to stop the movement. The Police Chief said: “Protests on the Chibok girls are hereby banned with immediate effect,” Mbu revealed that rival group named “Release Our Girls” had attacked the Abuja #BringBackOurGirls campaign with bottles recently and destroyed properties. We Spent Over N10 Billion To Fight Boko Haram- Borno Govt.

The sum of over ten billion naira have since 2011 been expended to procure Amourd Personnel Carrier (APC) and other logistics support to the Police and the Military forces, Borno State has said. In a statement  Issued by the Secretary to the State Government,Ambassador Baba Ahmed Jidda , states that fight against the Boko Haram terrorists has continued to drain the pause of the stage government. According to the statement, the Borno  state government  wouldn’t have made public its financial assistance to the Nigeria forces if not for some “  mischief makers, part of which claim that the State was not supporting the military. “First of all let me say we were pushed into making public, these things I am about to say. For three years we dealt with these challenges without any noise since the Government was doing it for Borno people. Some people are being made to assume that a certain security vote is provided to State Governments, this is not true.

Why I have left the APC

I declared for the APC in June last year in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state well before the party was registered by INEC. I formally joined the party, amidst great fanfare, on 7th February 2014 in my hometown Ile-Ife and I registered my membership on that day. The registration was done outside the Ooni’s palace and it was done in the prescence of the media, numerous party leaders in the state, including Hon. Rotimi Makinde, who represents Ile-Ife at the Federal House, and all the other key leaders of the APC in the state and Ife-Ife including Chief Akantioke and Alhaji Soko Adewoyin the former  Deputy Governor of Osun state. After registering we proceeded to pay a courtesy call on my traditional ruler, the Ooni of Ife, and from there I went to spend a few days with Governor Rauf Aregbesola who, together with Governor Kayode Fayemi, I am close to and I consider to be friends.
