President Muhammadu Buhari plans to totally remove fuel subsidy and use the proceeds for the provision of free and compulsory primary/secondary education across the country. Siasia Invites Awoniyi, Iheanacho, Simon for Congo

Under-23s coach, Samson Siasia, has invited eight Flying Eagles players for the African U-23 Championship/Olympic qualifier against Congo in July. Reinstate Sacked 344 Lecturers Now - Union To Wike

The Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has been asked by the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) to reinstate 344 lecturers of the State Polytechnic, Bori, who were sacked last week. The sacked lecturers were employed in September 2014 by his predecessor, Rotimi Ameachi. The union has also criticised the governor for disbanding the Rivers State Road Traffic Management Authority (TIMA-RIV).
