D’banj, Timaya: No Longer Local Artistes

Image
Recently, there have been closed scrutinies on artistes that have really broken the jinx of being just local performers. While some have refused to grow, others are basking in the euphoria. The duo of Koko master and Egberi Papa 1 have shown that as an artistes you can keep your genre and still be internationally acclaimed.  Above all odds they came like the silken drapes, looking at the top as their stepping stone. Nigeria is a big market for musicians…no matter what an artiste’s sings, he/she will surely get a fan base because of the unquenchable appetite of the people. From years back, many artistes have come and gone and have tried to break through internationally. Though many have featured some known faces in the industr

At the mass, the bishop of Awka Catholic Diocese, Most Revd Dr Paulinus Ezeokafor, declared that Governor Obi not only recorded an unprecedented development in the state, but has also laid a solid foundation for future leaders to stand on and take the state to a higher pedestal. The clergyma, in his sermon, said God wanted leaders to show friendliness to humanity and that any leader who answers that call  had a divine reward awaiting him.
