Transgender Woman Now Transitioning into a Dragon

If he/she/it “identifies” as a dragon, who are we to judge?   From National Review : A male-to-female transgender woman who prefers the pronoun “it” says it believes it was born not only the wrong sex, but also the wrong species, and has been undergoing human-to-dragon transition procedures to fix the problem. The 55-year-old, who was born “Richard Hernandez” but now goes by “ Eva Tiamat Baphomet Medusa ,” has already had a whole slew of transformative work done: Tooth extraction, eye coloring, horn implants, ear removal, nose modification and a procedure to give it a forked tongue. It’s also gotten tattoos and scarification on its face and chest to make it look like it has scales instead of human skin.

New minimum wage: how realistic?

   This year’s May Day activities in Nigeria were marked with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Unions Congress (TUC) jointly tabling a demand for the upward review of the national minimum wage from N18,000 to N56,000. A rival faction of the NLC led by Comrade Joe Ajaero simultaneously demanded N90,000. Labour hinges its demands, despite the parlous state of the economy, on the grounds that a minimum wage review is long overdue. They grumble over the steep rises in the costs of electricity, petroleum products, food items and the general inflationary trends in the economy in the past one year.

 Pepsi has refuted the rumoured reports about dropping songstress, Tiwa Savage following the drama which trailed her feud with husband, Tee Billz. The beverage maker disproved the rumour on the alleged sack of Tiwa via a statement issued on its official Twitter account, @Pepsi_Naija

CBN’s anti-inflation policy sucks N663bn from banks

  With the reversal of its monetary policy easing previous month Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has deployed monetary instruments freezing about N663 billion in the last one month even as the apex bank is set to mop up additional funds from the banks this week. The apex bank’s Monetary Policy Committee, at its second meeting this year held in March, voted to review the monetary policy rate, MPR, upward from 11 per cent to 12 per cent. It also increased the cash reserve ratio, CRR, upward from 20 per cent to 22.5 per cent, while maintaining the liquidity ratio at 30 per cent The measures were aimed at curbing inflationary pressure which has been attributed to high liquidity in the financial system.

EFCC charges: Tompolo begins fasting, prayers for divine intervention

  FORMER militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, has begun fasting and prayers in his hideout for God’s intervention in his present travails. Tompolo went underground in January following a bench warrant issued for his arrest over fraud charges by a Federal High Court in Lagos, which ordered the confiscation of some of his assets in Warri and other parts of Delta State. Tompolo Tompolo Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Police subsequently declared him wanted. Since then, the security agencies have been unable to locate his whereabouts. However, the ex-militant leader, an evangelist and adherent of the Amasiekumor deity of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State, has reportedly become more spiritual. Our source said yesterday:

FG to pay subsidy on petrol

The Federal Government has said it would pay subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol, from the recoveries made in the first quarter of 2016. This is contained in the latest Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, template released in Abuja, yesterday. The PPPRA said between January and March, the Federal Government was able to save about N10 billion as a result of selling the product above the expected open market price. According to the new template, the expected open market price of the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, has risen to N99.38 per litre for independent and major oil marketers and N98.62 per litre for NNPC retail outlets. Apapa road blocked by Tankers It added that the expected open market price was the actual price of the product without subsidy and was based on the current exchange rate of N197 to a dollar.

Over 800,000 apply for police job

  The Police Service Commission (PSC) said it received 843,008 applications as at 1:00pm on May 2 from applicants seeking enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force. A statement issued by Head, Press and Public Relations of the PSC, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, in Abuja on Monday, said 243,327 applications were received for Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) cadre. He added that 197,990 and 401,691 applicants applied for the Inspector and Police Constable (PC) cadres respectively.

Herdsmen kill royal father, nephew in Kaduna

GUNMEN, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, on Sunday night, assassinated the District Head of Fadan Karshi, a busy commercial town in Sanga Local Government Area, southern part of Kaduna State. President Muhammadu Buhari President Muhammadu Buhari The murdered District Head, Mr. Bala Madaki, 66, was killed alongside his nephew, Emmanuel Tanko. According to a community leader in the area, Pastor Mike Makarfi, the violence took place around 10:30pm Sunday night. He said: “It was very hot last night (Sunday night) and people were sleeping outside. Around 10 p.m., the chief moved into his house with his family. Then some gunmen who our people said were Fulani, stormed his compound and started shooting. “They went into his room and shot him point blank. They also shot a small boy, Emmanuel Tanko, who was writing his final year secondary school exams.
