Davido just signed 2 New Artists, Mayorkun & Dremo

When Davido isn’t performing at international events like the recent one with Fader, he is signing new artists to his record label HKN Music. According to the official website, the label already has 5 artists – Davido, Danagog, B-red, Sina Rambo and Deekay. The newest additions to the team are two young lads called Mayorkun and Dremo. To introduce Mayorkun to the music industry, his first single “Eleko” will be released on Friday.

The actress in a recent unscripted video of herself revealed she would not be walking down the aisle very soon except its with a "white man".    Toyin Aimakhu (instagram)  Embattled Nigerian actress, Toyin Aimakhu is currently in Maryland, Washington DC filming her reality series which would focus on her everyday activities titled “Keeping up with Toyin Aimakhu.”  The actress in a recent unscripted video of herself revealed she would not be walking down the aisle soon except its with a whiteman. The video was posted on her reality TV series YouTube channel 'KUWTA" yesterday, April 4, 2016. According to her,"married women are trying, may God give me the strength to marry again. I don't think I can go through it anymore."

#PanamaPapers: Mark linked to 8 companies abroad

  Nigeria’s immediate past Senate President, David Mark, has links to at least eight offshore shell companies while holding public office, in violation of a federal code of conduct law, a massive leak of files belonging to Mossack Fonseca, a law firm in Panama, shows. Senate President, David Mark The files showed how Mossack Fonseca, reputed as one of the most secretive companies in the world, helped clients register offshore entities, some of which are then used to launder money, evade tax and dodge sanctions. They also provide details of the hidden financial dealings of 128 more politicians and public officials around the world, including in Nigeria.

Nigeria: Govt Already Consulting On New Electoral Reforms

President Muhammadu Buhari is about to kick-start the process of reforming the country's electoral laws in line with the Federal Government's policy of undertaking comprehensive legal reforms before the expiration of the present administration's tenure. While presenting a keynote address at the Nigerian Civil Society Situations Room's Stakeholders Forum on Elections in Abuja, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Alhaji Abubakar Malami said the Federal Government has already started consultations with the leadership of the National Assembly and the judiciary to identify key laws and priority areas for reform.

Iceland PM, Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson Iceland’s Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson is to step down after leaked documents from a Panamanian law firm showed his wife owned an offshore company with big claims on collapsed Icelandic banks, his party said. Gunnlaugsson became the first prominent casualty from the revelations in the so-called Panama Papers, which have cast light on the financial arrangements of an array of politicians and public figures across the globe and the companies and financial institutions they use.

Blanc: Manchester City tie will not be easy for PSG

Manchester City will provide PSG with a stern test in the Champions League says Laurent Blanc, who has Angel Di Maria available once more.   Laurent Blanc has warned his Paris Saint-Germain players against taking Manchester City lightly in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. PSG host City in the first leg on Wednesday at Parc des Princes, with a fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title already in the bag. By contrast, Manuel Pellegrini's men lie a distant fourth in the Premier League, having displayed frustratingly inconsistent form throughout the season.

Tinubu’s CCT trial: APC blasts PDP over call to re-open case

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos State Chapter on Tuesday berated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state for calling on the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, to re-visit the case against its National leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu. The Publicity Secretary of the chapter, Joe Igbokwe in a statement said APC’s call was targeted at tarnishing Tinubu’s image. Igbokwe alleged that the trial which happened during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan was instigated by PDP. He viewed the call, “as silly rants of frustrated losers desperately splashing mud to tar others when they are facing weighty corruption cases.”

WhatsApp toughens encryption after Apple-FBI row

The Facebook-owned mobile application with one billion users worldwide made the announcement following weeks of intense debate over efforts by US authorities to compel Apple to help break into an encrypted iPhone. "WhatsApp has always prioritized making your data and communication as secure as possible," a blog post announcing the change said.

China, Iran leaders in state-ordered executions

Execution: Iran style There were more executions worldwide in 2015 than in any year since 1990 and almost 90 percent occurred in three countries – Iran, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, human rights watchdog Amnesty International said on Wednesday. China is believed to remain the world’s top executioner, with the number of people put to death annually in the thousands, though the exact figure is a state secret, the rights group said.
