Report: Johnny Depp cut off fingertip during fight with Amber Heard

Image
A grisly photo shows Johnny Depp’s hand with the tip of one bloody finger missing after he mutilated himself during a jealous rage over suspicions that much-younger wife Amber Heard was cheating on him with a rival actor, according to a new report Monday. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star also allegedly dipped his bloody stump in blue paint and used it to scrawl the names of Heard and her suspected paramour, Billy Bob Thornton, on a mirror, according to TMZ . The image of Depp’s bloody and disfigured digit was posted under a police-tape-style caution saying “WARNING: GRUESOME PHOTO,” and can only be viewed by clicking through the yellow-and-black banner. The rest of Depp’s fingers and nails appear to be stained with a dark substance, and one knuckle is swollen and bruised. Depp reportedly injured himself inside a villa in Australia in March 2015, a month after he and Heard were married, and while he was drunk and high on ecstasy, according to TMZ

Rudy Giuliani forgets about 9/11 and claims that ‘before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the’ U.S.

Image
You might want to get that bump on your head checked, Rudy. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Monday appeared to forget about the worst-ever terror attack to occur on U.S. soil, claiming that there simply had been no such assaults inside America before President Obama. “Under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the United States,” Giuliani said during a head-scratching speech to introduce Donald Trump in Youngstown, Ohio. “They all started when Clinton and Obama got into office,” Giuliani said, bizarrely forgetting the horrific 9/11 attacks. The extraordinary exclusion of 9/11 was especially peculiar, given that, just a moment earlier Giuliani had been discussing the attacks and praising vice presidential nominee Mike Pence for a “very, very timely” visit to Ground Zero and for his help, as a then-congressman, on the Judiciary Committee to help “fashion the Patriot Act.” Rudy Giu

Martin Luther King Jr's Bible and Nobel Peace Prize to be released back to his estate after his two son's sued his daughter for ownership of the items

Martin Luther King Jr's traveling Bible and Nobel Peace Prize will be returned to his estate a judge ruled Monday, ending an ownership battle between King's children. King's three surviving children — Martin Luther King III, Dexter Scott King and Bernice King — are the sole shareholders and directors of the estate. Dexter is president and CEO and Martin is chairman of the board for the estate. Bernice is on the board of directors and CEO of The King Center. During a board of directors meeting in January 2014, the brothers voted 2-1 against their sister to sell the two artifacts to an unnamed private buyer. The items had long been in Bernice's possession, and the estate filed suit about a week later asking a judge to order her to surrender them. Bernice King said at the time that the idea of selling two of their father's most cherished items was unthinkable. King won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. The Bible was his personal traveling Bible and

Zambia's Lungu re-elected president as rival cries foul

Image
Zambia's incumbent president, Edgar Lungu, on Monday was declared the winner of a closely-fought election but the victory was immediately challenged by his main rival. Election commission chief Esau Chulu announced Lungu was "duly elected" after releasing the final results from Thursday's election, which put the president ahead of his main rival Hakainde Hichilema by 2.5 percent or around 200,000 votes. "We are going to take up this matter legally," Jack Mwiimbu, legal specialist for the United Party for National Development (UPND), told reporters. But the ruling Patriotic Front's secretary general Davis Chama, who popped several bottles of Champagne at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre where the results were announced, laughed off

Most ISIS recruits don’t know anything about Islam, documents show

Image
ISIS is full of idiots. A report on Monday found that most recruits of the world’s most feared terror group have no serious grasp of Islam and Sharia law — and two even picked up “For Dummies” books to brush up on beliefs they planned to kill and die for. The Associated Press reviewed recruiting documents from 2013 and 2014, which were obtained by the Syrian opposition website Zaman al-Wasl. The thousands of pages showed the applications of more than 4,000 foreign terrorist wannabes. The docs asked about each recruit’s knowledge of Islam — and revealed that most knew nothing. More than 70% of the new recruits said they had a “basic” knowledge of Islam and Shariah — the lowest level listed on the form. Twenty-four percent said they had an “intermediate” knowledge. Only 5% listed themselves as advanced Islam students, and another 5% said they had memorized the Koran. The documents also showed some recruits admitting they had no idea what they were getting into when they j

Aaron Ramsey ruled out for a month as Arsenal suffer yet another injury blow

Image
Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey will be out of action for around a month (Picture: BPI) Arsenal have suffered yet another injury blow with Aaron Ramsey reportedly ruled out of action for a month. Ramsey started in the Gunners’ 4-3 loss to Liverpool on Sunday but was forced off in the 61st minute with a hamstring injury. The Telegraph suggest it’s hoped the 25-year-old will return for Arsenal’s Premier League match against Southampton at the Emirates on September 10. To make matters worse for Arsene Wenger, Alex Iwobi also had to be substituted at the weekend after the forward pulled up with a thigh injury in the second-half. Following the opening day defeat, Wenger admitted he had ‘pushed’ Ramsey back into the starting XI after the midfielder’s busy summer schedule with Wales at Euro 2016. It’s the latest in a long line of blows for the French boss following injuries to Per Mertesacker, Gabriel Paulista and Jack Wilshere in pre-season. Read the Original

Statistic proves why Marouane Fellaini is actually crucial to Manchester United this season

Image
Marouane Fellaini impressed for Manchester United against Bournemouth. (Picture: Getty) Manchester United fans might need to put their issues with Marouane Fellaini to one side for the foreseeable future. The big Belgian midfielder has battled the United purists who believe that the gangly, aggressive and sometimes erratically clumsy footballing style of Fellaini isn’t befitting to the legacy that Sir Alex Ferguson built at Old Trafford. Signed by David Moyes and used regularly by Louis van Gaal, Fellaini became the scapegoat for the frustrated Manchester United fans to vent their frustration having seen the prestige of the Premier League’s most successful club slip away in recent seasons. ‘With Fellaini I always have the feeling that he was not loved by the general Red people,’ new manager Jose Mourinho told MUTV. ‘But, if he plays like he’s playing now, they have to love him because he’s being so important for us,’ he added. After Jose Mourinho guided his team to an

Sorry, But Your Astute Election Posts Aren’t Changing Anybody’s Mind

Image
You’ve had it with this election cycle. The name-calling. The baby-banishing. The multitudinous email scandals. So you log onto Facebook and fire off a post pumping Hillary Clinton, defending Donald Trump, or, perhaps, reminding everyone that Jill Stein exists. With each accumulating Like, you feel like you’ve accomplished something, like you’ve awoken the masses from this great national nightmare, and like maybe, just maybe, you’ve even changed some minds. Rantic Except you haven’t—at least, not according to new research from the social media marketing firm Rantic. It recently surveyed more than 10,000 people on Facebook, spread evenly across political affiliations. It found that 94 percent of Republicans, 92 percent of Democrats, and 85 percent of independents say they have never changed their view of an issue because of a Facebook post. The majority of people from all political affiliations also say social media is an inappropriate place to express political beliefs. That’s despite
