Mr. Danladi was the first deputy governor who ran on the same ticket with Governor Dantata Suntai. He was impeached shortly before Mr. Suntai took ill after an air crash. The acting governor who was removed Friday, Mr. Umar, was appointed the deputy governor after the impeachment of Mr. Danladi. After Mr. Suntai became ill, Mr. Umar took charge as acting governor. The acting governor has been locked in a bitter power struggle with the associates of Mr. Suntai, who insist the ailing governor has recovered enough to return to work.

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech in the January transfer window. Cech emerged as a shock target for the Gunners this week as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his side for a title challenge this season. Reports had it that that Chelsea would consider selling the 32-year-old, who has fallen in the pecking order at Chelsea, losing his place to Courtois and the Czech is seemingly frustrated on the Chelsea bench and wants a move to get first team soccer. While buying Cech would be good for Arsenal, for Wojciech Szczesny, it would mean keen competition for a placed in the starting lineup because even though he is the second choice at Chelsea, Petr Cech is still one of the best goalkeepers in the world

Comedienne Princess took some heavy shots at blogger Linda Ikeji. No fewer than 45 people were killed by Boko Haram members in an attack on Azaya Kura village in the Mafa local government area of Borno state on Wednesday November 19th. Manchester United Are Reportedly gearing up to make a bid for Tottenham defender, Jan Vertonghen in January in a bid to strengthen their defense. Manchester United have struggled in defense this season, with injuries and inconsistent performances form their fit defenders. It has been widely rumored that Manchester United are in the market for a new defender. Vertonghen has struggled to adjust to life under Pochettino at Spurs and has had to sit out a few games playing second fiddle to Kaboul and Chirices. Vertonghen would probably be excited by an opportunity to move to Manchester United and play consistently No official bid has been made yet but we expect Manchester United to make contact and discuss the possibility of making the transfer happen over by Monday.
