The EFCC drove the embattled politician into the premises of the FCT High Court on Thursday morning, preparatory to slamming fresh charges on him.

Dasuki is also urging the sub-regional court to order his release forthwith.

 Gusau - Gov Abdulazieez Yari of Zamfara State has denied reports that he was romantically involved with a daughter of President Muhammad Buhari, Zarah. The governor, who doubles as the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) also denied divorcing one of his wives, Hadiza Umaru Shinkafi to accommodate Zarah. The news about the governor dating Zarah was published in two weekly publications – City People magazine and The Polity.

The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, said yesterday, that the ongoing anti-corruption war being waged by the commission would always be guided by strict adherence to the Rule of Law and national interest. Ibrahim Magu Magu, who spoke in Abuja, said EFCC, under his leadership, would abide by court orders in the discharge of its duties. The commission had in recent times been criticised for not releasing the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd.), after being granted bail by a FCT High Court.

Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has ordered all army officers to declare their assets.    The order was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday. He gave the directive today during a conference with Principal Staff Officers and Directors serving at the Army Headquarters.

  Minister of State for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi (SAN), on Wednesday revealed that the ministry currently does not have data on the number of unemployed Nigerians. It requires the data to enable it prepare the template for beneficiaries of the proposed N5,000 stipends for the unemployed/ vulnerable Nigerians. The minister said this while responding to questions from reporters at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, Abuja.

Former Super Eagles coach, Daniel Amokachi, has secured a one-year deal to handle Finnish side, JS Hercules, and is to resume immediately with the team. The Finnish second division side, on their official website on Wednesday, announced the hiring of Amokachi and the other reshuffling in their technical crew.
