INEC denies issuing Bimbo Akintola Celebrity Observer card

The Nigerian Independent Electoral Commission has debunked issuing any celebrity observer cards or using celebrities as Observers in the forth coming election. The news came as a response to a picture posted by a Nollywood Actress, Bimbo AkintolaTuesday where she claimed that she was issued an INEC Celerity observer card for the upcoming election. The Commission made this known via its twitter handle yesterday, asking to know where the news of using celebrities as electoral observers migrated from.

Germanwings plane crash: Co-pilot 'wanted to destroy plane'

The co-pilot of the Germanwings plane that crashed into the French Alps on Tuesday appeared to want to "destroy the plane", French officials said. Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin, citing information from the "black box" voice recorder, said the co-pilot was alone in the cockpit. He intentionally started a descent while the pilot was locked out. Mr Robin said there was "absolute silence in the cockpit" as the pilot fought to re-enter it.
