Most of us were either babies or hadn't even been born yet, and we're still very much aware of the impact Jackson had on the entertainment industry, during the 'Thriller' days of the early '80s. For a 1983 televised special entitled Motown: Yesterday, Today and Forever, a young Jackson in his early 20s performed 'Bille Jean' to an unsuspecting crowd.

The Supreme Court has suspended the trial of Senate president, Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT). The ruling to stay the Senate president’s assets falsification and corruption trial, was made on Thursday, November 12. A message from Saraki’s media aide, Bamikole Omishore reads: “Supreme Court Stays CCT proceedings in Saraki Case.” According to Leadership, the federal government gave an undertaking to the Supreme Court not to proceed with the criminal case against Senator Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Newly-sworn in Minister for Transportation, Rt Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, has vowed to complete all ongoing rail projects around Nigeria. He also promised to extend rail lines to all parts of the country. Amaechi gave this assurance during his first day in office as a minister shortly after his inauguration by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja on Wednesday.

The outstanding personnel will be honoured during the annual Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF). The country has been dominated by the military for half a century through direct junta rule and since 2011 by a quasi-civilian government run by its allies.
