The Botched Hunt for Malaysian Airlines Flight 370

Image
The contradicting accounts of what happened to the plane would be farcical if not for the 239 people who are missing. How did Malaysia get this so wrong? Who exactly is coordinating the  release of information  about the fate of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370? Nobody, it would seem. It depends which source you listen to—the government officials, the airline, or the Malaysian military. For there to be such imprecision in the information and so many contradictions between sources four days into a search would be farcical were it not for the tragedy unfolding and the distress being caused. Working quietly in the background, and clearly becoming frustrated, are crash investigators and a team sent to Malaysia by Boeing.

Last night was a prime example. Nelly showed his support for his former boo thang at her album release party at Club Prive in Atlanta. Although he didn’t make a physical appearance, he made sure to “show face” by making a special FaceTime call. In photos from the bash, the “I Got It” singer was spotted with a big grin and giving the rapper her best kissy face. During an interview with the  Breakfast Club  earlier this week, Ashanti said she and the “Ride With Me” rapper are “cool” now. “I will say that, there was a space where it was bad. Fuel Scarcity: The fraud, connivance that keeps Abuja groaning

Image
′Scarcity enters third week, end not in sight O rdinarily, there would be nothing so spectacular any more for discourse concerning the persistent fuel scarcity in the country that dates back to over two decades. This is because, such attempts remind one about the pains, anguish and sufferings Nigerians have experienced during the periods of fuel crises in a country that is a major producer of the product. But one thing remains paramount. Anytime there is scarcity of petroleum products in the country; be it fuel (PMS), kerosene or gas,  government agencies  responsible for ensuring that these products are never in short supply at determined costs and products marketers, re-enact the old blame game among themselves while Nigerians groan in pains. It is more than three weeks since the long queues and endless vigil by Nigerians  at the  filling stations came back.Interestingly, Nigeria ranks as Africa’s largest producer of oil and the sixth largest oil producing country in the worl
