Cannon started to receive backlash of major publications cringing and decided to tell the world to “just relax and have fun”: Don’t get your fancy panties in a bunch! It’s funny how people take themselves so seriously. People love drama! We feed off of it. Just relax and have fun!

Social Media  has given people a platform to over express and  over expose themselves  in the most annoying ways possible. Between  Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Vine , there is an abundance of over sharers who think way too highly of themselves and subject their followers to the most unnecessary and most obnoxious posts. Like the girl who gushes over her new engagement or  the guy or gal who posts pics of themselves in their underclothes with the caption “Check out my new headphones.” We’ve all been subjected to it and think about pulling out our hair  when it happens . We must admit, even though we mostly hate these personalities on social media, we love poking fun at them. Reports confirm that  “Fast and Furious”  actor  Paul Walker died after a car accident last November  as a result of speeding and not a malfunction of the car.  According to TMZ,  Roger Rodas, the driver of the Porsche that Walker was in was going well above 80 miles per hour. Neither Walker nor Rodas had drugs or alcohol in their systems during the accident. A source connected with the CHP — which did the speed analysis — tells TMZ  … Roger Rodas, the driver, was going between 80 and 93 MPH when he lost control going around a curve and crashed. The  Associated Press  quotes a source from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. — the agency that conducted the mechanics analysis — who says the crash was NOT the result of mechanical failure .  Speed was the trigger for the fatal accident.

Reports are circulating that  Kanye West  is so “jealous” of  Chris Brown’s  alleged association with fiance ,  Kim Kardashian  that he might call off their  summer wedding !  According to Radar Online, Kanye hasn’t been here for Breezy ever since his violent fight with  Rihanna  (which makes sense), but after learning that the  bad boy  may have had relations with Kimmy, Kanye went into a “major jealous meltdown.” “ West  was shocked to learn that “Kim and Chris, both unattached at the time, met up to talk about promotional stuff and hear what he had in mind in terms of merchandising and licensing for his  new record . There were definite sparks, but she insisted to Kanye that nothing happened between them.” Kanye allegedly doesn’t want to have anything to do with Chris, considering he and Kim finally got the nod of approval from Anna Wintour.

Another man who appeared to be  mentally ill  was almost lynched by angry youths who descended on him at a point close to the site. The police were, however, able to rescue him and whisk him away. The youths said he was pretending to be insane and could be one of the kidnappers who operated in the forest. As  security  agents intensify search for Shekau, his members continue to launch attacks Shekau said Boko Haram will attack the civilian JTF. The Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has claimed responsibility for the recent attack on Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri, describing it as a huge success. Mr. Shekau, in a new  video released  Sunday, claimed that thousands of his detained supporters were released and are back in their jungle hideouts. The video also showed a full footage of how the barracks was attacked in shots apparently carefully taken by one of the attacking members of the Boko Haram sect. The video had chilling details of how easily the Boko Haram gunmen invaded the fortified Giwa barracks, having ample time until the eventual  jail break  that saw to the release of virtually all the detainees, most of whom were seen hailing the gunmen and chanting Allahu Akbar. Acting Governor of the Central  Bank of Nigeria , Dr. Sarah Alade The acting Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Sarah Alade, on Wednesday said no serious damage  was recorded in the  fire incident  at the bank’s  office annex in Lagos on Tuesday. The  News Agency of Nigeria  reported that Alade disclosed this to newsmen  in Lagos while on a visit to the affected building to determine the extent of the damage. She attributed the cause of the fire to “electrical spark,” which she said destroyed some furniture and personal effects of some Lagos staff. The acting CBN governor promised that some records destroyed by the fire would be recovered by the Disaster Recovering Unit of the bank. “There was no  loss of life . In terms of documents, only few were lost and we have back up for that. “Mostly, personal effects were lost and which can be replaced,” she said. It was   also learnt in Abuja that Alison-Madueke   chartered a third jet for her use, besides the two already in the records of the committee. The Solomon Olamilekan-led committee is  investigating the expenditure of  N10bn on a Challenger 850 chartered and maintained for  the minister’s use. The PUNCH  had reported exclusively on Wednesday that the committee was holding preliminary meetings on the investigation when it stumbled on fresh information that Alison-Madueke also chartered a second jet for her trips. Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the composition and mandate of a special presidential committee to assist with the re-conduct of the disastrous Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment process. The committee, which would assist the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration and Prisons Board in the exercise, was made up of eight members. It is to be chaired by the Chairman of Federal Civil Service Commission.     The terms of reference for the committee included liaison with the civil defence, fire service, immigration and prisons board and confirmation of the actual number of personnel to be recruited. Others include assisting the board by re-advertising the recruitment into the NIS, to start the recruitment process afresh. It would also assist the board by processing the applications, short listing potential candidates and conducting the necessary interviews for the purpose of the recruitment.

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of a new central bank governor to replace Lamido Sanusi, who was suspended on government charges of “financial recklessness and misconduct”. The upper  house of parliament  unanimously approved the appointment of Zenith Bank boss Godwin Emefiele, after his appearance before lawmakers that was  broadcast live  on television. Senate president  David Mark  said it was a key appointment, adding: “Emefiele will ensure the prerequisite responsibilities of the central bank governor without fear or favour.” President Goodluck Jonathan suspended Sanusi on February 20 just days after he had accused the state  oil company  of embezzling $20 billion (14.5 billion euros) of public funds.

— Former   Minister of Information and Communications, Professor Dora Akunyili has explained why she currently   looks sickly in contrast to her hitherto  plump and ebullient look. Photographs of her at the  National Conference , making the rounds on  social media , showed a very sickly Akunyili. The Anambra delegate however denied  report  that she was seriously sick and currently out of the country and in need of urgent prayers. The former minister explained that her very gaunt appearance was as a result of what she simply called a major sickness, According to her , “While it is true that I recently came out of a major sickness, for which I thank Almighty God for delivering me, I have since been declared fit by my doctors and returned to my normal activities. I shed much weight in the course of the sickness – which is normal – but I am well now and only need time to re-grow some flesh. There is nothing to worry about either my health or my present stature.”

An air and sea search for the missing  Malaysia Airlines  plane has again been suspended because of bad weather in the southern Indian Ocean. Australian officials said all aircraft were returning to base and ships were leaving the search area. On Wednesday Malaysian officials revealed fresh satellite images from the area that showed a possible debris field from the missing plane. Flight MH370 disappeared on 8 March with 239 people on board. It had been  en route  from  Kuala Lumpur  to Beijing when it disappeared from air traffic controllers’ screens over the South China Sea. So far, not a single item of debris linked to the missing plane has been recovered. The Australian  Maritime Safety  Authority (Amsa), co-ordinating the search, said that aircraft had spotted three objects on Wednesday but despite several passes had not been able to relocate them. As dawn broke on Thursday, Amsa said six  military aircraft , five civilian aircraft and five ships would be taking

FRSC Corps Marshal, Osita Chidoka A Federal  High Court  in Lagos has declared that the new number plates introduced by the Federal Road Safety Commission are unconstitutional and as such cannot be imposed on vehicle owners. In a judgment delivered by Justice James Tsoho on Wednesday, the court held that the redesigning of the old number plates was not backed by any law. Tsoho, who was delivering the judgment in a suit by a lawyer, Emmanuel Ofoegbu, against the FRSC, therefore, held that the FRSC had no power to impose the redesigned number plates on  vehicle owners , who had not acquired them. The judge said, “The issue of redesigning  new number  plates by the respondent, is not covered under the provisions of any law in Nigeria. “The respondent cannot force Nigerians to acquire new plate numbers by impounding cars without the backing of any legislation to that effect. “I hold that the act of the respondent amounts to an arbitra
