The sixth-generation sedan will arrive at U.S. dealers this month, with additional trims arriving later this year. The 2017 Hyundai Elantra can be availed with the latest infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The 2017 Hyundai Elantra will be offered in three trim levels – SE, Limited and Eco. The SE and Limited trims will be powered by a 2.0-liter Nu MPI Atkinson four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is rated at 33 mpg for combined driving.

Muslim women must learn English or be deported – Cameron

  Muslim women who fail to learn English to a high enough standard could face deportation from Britain, Prime Minister David Cameron announced Monday. He also suggested that poor English skills can leave people “more susceptible” to the messages of groups like Islamic State (IS). Cameron’s comments came as his centre-right Conservatives launched a £20 million ($28.5 million, 26 million euro) language fund for women in isolated communities as part of a drive to build community integration.

4 dead in suicide attack at mosque

  Four worshippers were killed in a suicide bombing at a mosque in northern Cameroon on Monday, a security source said, five days after a similar attack left 12 people dead. Monday’s blast hit the village of Nguetchewe in Cameroon’s Far North region, in an area near the border with Nigeria regularly targeted by Boko Haram jihadists. “The toll of this attack is four dead and two injured,” the source, who was at the scene of the attack, told AFP.

A former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of turning the CBN into the Presidency’s Automated Teller Machine to produce cash for the government. He also said the Jonathan administration ran the bank like a movie plot from Uganda under the late dictator, Idi Amin Dada. Idi Amin ruled Uganda with an iron fist between 1971 and 1979, and has been described as one of the most corrupt African rulers.

The Gunners moved back to the top of the Barclays Premier League table on goal difference as they extended their unbeaten run to four league matches. ‘No fresh case of Lassa fever in Lagos’

The Lagos State Government, yesterday, disclosed that there is no new case of Lassa fever recorded in the state. It also said that the index case, a 25-year-old male undergraduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, is presently responding to treatment in the hospital. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris while briefing newsmen at the weekend, urged residents to remain calm over the outbreak of Lassa fever, saying everything possible was being done to curtail the spread of the virus in the state.

Buhari Withdraws 2016 Budget

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has written to parliament requesting the withdrawal of the 2016 budget in order to make changes, sources at the presidency and Senate said on Sunday. Buhari unveiled the budget for Africa’s biggest economy in December, which included a tripling of capital expenditure, as the continent’s top oil exporter tries to overcome its worst economic crisis in years caused by the fall in crude prices. The president said spending would be 6.08 trillion naira and the deficit would double to 2.2 trillion naira ($11 billion) under his administration’s plans.
