Dangote Cement, Africa’s largest producer of the building material, has cut prices of cement in its home market Nigeria in an attempt to boost cement consumption. The price cuts to its 3X cement brand by N6 000 ($30.23) per metric tonne, translating to N300 reduction per 50kg bag, allows Dangote to still achieve strong returns, CEO Dangote Cement, Onne van der Weijde, said in a Lagos.

The man succeeded in gaining access into the tyre compartment of the aircraft which was ready for taxing and hid himself there. A 25-year-old man has been arrested after he was found hiding under the tyre carriage of a Medview aircraft on a domestic flight at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2, MMA2 in Lagos. The unnamed man succeeded in gaining access into the tyre compartment of the aircraft which was ready for taxing and hid himself there. An inside source said a final inspection round the plane by the pilot led his eagle eye to notice some strange movement and object inside the compartment.

Becomes UK’s Longest Serving Monarch The Queen of England, Elizabeth the II officially opened the new Scottish borders with a in the Union of South Africa, an LNER Class A4 steam locomotive built in 1937 in Doncaster, UK. The train, which was once renamed Osprey in consonance with political situation at the time, is one of six surviving A4s designed by one of Britain’s most famous steam locomotive engineers, Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley, that is currently operational and mainline certified.
