Port Harcourt – The Rivers police command has confirmed the release of Anthony Akatakpo, staff member of Cool/Wazobia FM station, Port Harcourt. Akatakpo, a presenter with the station, was shot in the leg and abducted on March 13 in Port Harcourt. Grace Iringe-Koko, ASP, and spokesperson of the command said in Port Harcourt on Thursday that Akatakpo was picked up in the early hours of Thursday. She said the police was not aware if any ransom was paid for his release and that the presenter had been handed over to his family.

Friday we revealed that  Lindsay Lohan  had  drunkenly scrawled a list of 36 celebs she’d done the sexy deed with.  The list featured the likes of  Adam Levine ,  Zac Efron ,  Justin Timberlake , Heath Ledger and  Max George . But there were a number of names on the list that had been blurred out for legal reasons, which drove us totally bananas. There are some interesting  rumors  on the scene and ripping out of the ashes of SXSW 2014. I heard an interesting rumor the other day, that Nas would be possibly dropping an album this year in the same vein as  Beyonce . Its been a couple of years since Nasir bodied rap with a full-length opus so its not inconceivable. The only thing is, if its in the rumors, its probably not a “Beyonce event.” Why? Because Beyonce was not even a conversation before it happened.  That said , I’m hearing  Apple iTunes  is really looking to address some of the popular streaming services like Spotify that are nipping on their business. They recently streamed the whole Rick Ross album for free and have offered their iTunes radio as well. We’ll see if this shapes up as rumored, but I’ve got a feeling Nas won’t look to replicate somebody else’s move. “They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!” -illseed.

 Sean Combs’  Bad Boy  Records has lost another artist, AllHipHop has been told. King Los, the  Baltimore rhymester, had departed ways with his  former  recording home according to sources. Details are sketching at press time, but we will keep snooping Los is presently in  New York City  promoting a new project

Rapper   50 Cent  lives for some drama. After airing out his issues with the  former  members of G-Unit and Steve Stoute, 50 Cent released a record called “Hold On.” On the song, he takes a shot at  Jimmy Henchman  by referencing a 2007 incident where he allegedly had four of his goons assault Henchman’s then 14-year- old son . Jimmy Henchman’s son heard  50 Cent’s “Hold On”  and has  responded  with a statement. On the song “Hold On,” 50 Cent spits, “On the phone I heard ‘Ya smacked the shit outta a kid/ /Now Jimmy got life/Gonna smack him again.” 50 Cent blatantly mocks getting people to assault a teenager and he laughs at the elder  Jimmy Henchman getting sentenced to life in prison .

Kanye West  isn't out of the woods after  striking a plea deal  in the criminal case stemming from his photog attack last summer -- he's still facing a nasty civil lawsuit ... and we're told the pap is determined to take the rapper to trial. Normally in civil situations involving celebs --  car accidents , fights,  property damage , whatever -- the victim settles for a  quick payday  in exchange for dropping their lawsuit ... but not this time. Sources close to photog  Daniel Ramos  --  who sued Yeezy   for  assault and battery  after the LAX incident -- tell TMZ, Ramos is so confident in his case, he's refusing to settle for any amount of money ... he wants to go the whole nine with Kanye and bring his ass to court. We're told a trial date has already been set in the case and Ramos is going full steam ahead -- no sign anywhere of a  settlement agreement .

Whether you love her or hate it, Karrueche Tran has become a celebrity figure in her own right, solely for her intimate proximity with Chris Brown and his eternal struggle. Reportedly, the aspiring fashion designer broke off her relationship with the embattled R&B singer--not because of his alleged rendezvous with another woman in but because he couldn't stop texting, sexting and LOL smiley facing with his legions of jumpoffs. Via TMZ: Karrueche Tran didn't dump Chris Brown because of the girl he allegedly banged in rehab -- sources close to the model tell TMZ ... she dropped the hammer on their relationship because he refused to stop texting his army of jump offs. There's been speculation that Karrueche pulled the plug when she found out he had hooked up with another girl in his facility at the beginning of March -- but we're told the break-up preceded that ... We're told Karrueche ended things after she visited Chris in rehab the month before.

According to  Eben Gregory , it is now being reported that the nasty secret divorce that former  Bad Boy  rapper  Ma$e  and his wife  Twyla Betha  were going through was “miraculously” called off about a month after the paperwork was filed. After 12 years of marriage Ma$e filed for divorce secretly and asked for  full custody  of their two kids. There was even a request for Twyla to pay  child support . However on February 13 th the day before Valentine’s Day Ma$e filed to dismiss his  divorce petition . Maybe she got him a really good box of chocolates…you know…not the kind from the drug store that the rest of us get…but we digress! Hmmm maybe they actually read their book called “ What Do You Do After I Do ?” and decided they had something worth saving…we don’t really know…but what we do know is this…everyone who is all up in arms and freaking out over the situation can go on ahead and have a seat. Apparently this crisis was averted

The Economic and   Financial Crimes   Commission, EFCC, has arrested four undergraduates and three others for alleged involvement in   Internet scam . They were arrested in two different locations in Ibadan, Oyo State. The undergraduates are: Otuyalo Damilola, a 400 level student of Computer Science of Lead City University, Ibadan; Adegbuyi Michael, an undergraduate of University of Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia; Ibrahim Aruna, a student of Mineral Resources Engineering, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State and Adeosun Matthew, a 200 level student of  Banking and Finance , University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Others are Afolabi Ayodele, Balogun Olumuyiwa and Abiola Okunola. Five of the suspects: Aruna, Matthew, Ayodele, Olumuyiwa and Okunola were arrested together at the Iyana Adeoyo Branch of a first generation bank in Dugbe, Ibadan, while they were collecting proceeds of scam via Western Union. Notes the alarming increase in the number of  Nigerian   students  being murdered abroad Worried that our students, in search of education abroad, have become  endangered species . In Ghana 4 Nigerian students have been killed in mysterious circumstances in the last few months. In October, 2013, 15year old Master Austine Chukwuebuka Ogukwe, an SS3 a student of Ideal College Ghana died mysteriously. In November, barely 26 days after Master Ogukwes mysterious death, 2 Nigerian students Eddy and Charles of KNUS Federal University Accra, lost their lives, during an excursion with their school. They claimed they drowned. Further disturbed that, just two weeks ago, Mr Godwin Ayogu, a 300 level  social science  student of University of Cape Coast, Central region was brutally killed on 20th February and his lifeless body was found on Campus. The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) said on Tuesday that  Nigeria oil reserves had dropped from 40 billion to 35 billion  barrels . A Director in the department, Mr George Osahon, made this known in an interview with newsmen at the ongoing Oil and Gas Seminar in Abuja. Osahon attributed the development to reduction in oil production in the country. He said that some oil wells in the Niger Delta had stopped production because they had attained “maturity.” He also said that vandalism and other unwholesome acts in the oil distribution process  in the region accounted for the drop in production of crude oil . Osahon said that the situation called for worry, adding that there was urgent need to boost  oil exploration  in order to shore up the dwindling reserves.

The suspended whistleblower governor of the Nigeria’s central bank may have to think again if he hopes senior  former  colleagues will rally to his defence. Lamido Sanusi was suspended last month by the country’s president after making explosive allegations about embezzlement on a massive scale at the state  oil company . The events alarmed investors and created a sense of scandal around the presidency of Goodluck Jonathan. He suspended Mr Sanusi citing “ financial  recklessness and misconduct” at the central bank and ordered an investigation into him, but many in Nigeria suspect the governor’s fate was linked to the claims he had made on an allegedly missing $20bn of oil revenue. This week, speaking for the first time about the affair, one of the  Bank of Nigeria  deputy governors, Kingsley Moghalu, was keen to distance himself from his former boss and made clear that he felt Mr Sanusi had overstepped his authority. President Goodluck   Jonathan   has reportedly ordered embattled Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, to   refund   the N1,000   application fee   collected from   job seekers   who were to write the ill fated Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) aptitude test that turned sour at the weekend. Scores  of youths lost their lives in a stampede in Abuja and several other cities, including  pregnant women , when they presented themselves for the screening exercise organised by the NIS.
