Pope Francis celebrates rain-soaked Mass in Kenya

Many thousands of people have been celebrating Mass with Pope Francis at a university campus in Kenya. Pope Francis made a plea for traditional values, saying "the health of any society depends on the health of its families". The Pope earlier urged Kenyans to work for peace and reconciliation on his first trip as pontiff to Africa, amid a rise in militant violence. He arrived in Kenya on Wednesday, the first stop on a three-nation tour.

In the audio recording from the Turkish military, a voice can be heard repeatedly saying ''change your heading south immediately'' The Turkish military has released an audio recording of what it says were warnings to a Russian warplane before it was shot down on the Syrian border. "Change your heading south immediately," a voice apparently says in English. Turkey said it had tried to rescue the SU-24 bomber's two pilots. One of them was killed by gunfire as he parachuted from the burning plane.

UK Deports 500 Nigerians, Some Stranded At Lagos Airport

About 500 Nigerians have been deported from the UK and are now in Lagos, a report by BBC said. “One person told me that he was arrested by British police and was not allowed to even take his belongings before being deported. A few of them who say they don’t have relatives here are stranded in the airport,” BBC reporter Umar Shehu Elleman said. UK’s plan to deport 29,000 Nigerians had recently hit the news with the Nigerian government expressing concern and asking Britain to ensure that those being deported are really Nigerians, medically fit to travel and have a role to play in the country.
