  Bernie Sanders soundly defeated Hillary Clinton in Utah’s Democratic caucuses late Tuesday, bringing his campaign a much-needed boost as he seeks to disrupt Clinton’s path to the party’s presidential nomination. US networks projected Sanders was headed to a comprehensive victory in the western state, leading his rival by a whopping 50 percentage points in early results. It was his first victory in the long nominations race since March 8, when the self-proclaimed democratic socialist won Michigan.

The National Assembly will today pass the 2016 budget, three months after President Muhammadu Buhari presented the fiscal document. The Appropriation committees of the both chambers laid their reports on the 2016 budget yesterday and was on the number three on the order paper until the death of a member of the House of Representatives was announced which made the Upper Chamber to postpone passage til today. It will be recalled that the laying of the budget was postponed four times but DailyTrust gathered that the both chambers have harmonised their reports on the budget and maintained the 6.077tr figure of President Buhari.
