Robbers Attack 2 Banks At Ogolonto Ikorodu

Reports reaching us this moment says that armed robbery is currently happening in Ikorodu Lagos state. According to eye witness, the robbery is taken place at the Zenth bank and First bank in Ebute Ipakodo just very close to Dangote Group’s office Ikorodu. There’s a Police Station adjacent the scene of the robbery. UPDATE: Latest report says police are currently at the scene and exchange of gunfire has begun. the Nigerian police have therefore advised all residence to stay off the scene.

Israel says it hits Gaza rocket launcher after rocket fired

The Israeli military says it has carried out an airstrike on a rocket launcher in the Gaza Strip that was used by militants to fire a rocket into Israel. The Israeli airstrike early Wednesday hit an open area in northern Gaza, causing no casualties. It was in response to Palestinian rocket fire from Gaza into southern Israel late Tuesday that also hit an open area, causing no casualties.

Saudi, Kuwait in talks to resolve oil row: minister

Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have begun talks to resolve a dispute that halted oil production in the neutral zone between the Gulf neighbours, the Kuwaiti oil minister said. “A joint committee formed by the two countries… has recently held its first meeting in Riyadh,” the KUNA news agency quoted Ali al-Omair as saying late Tuesday. The dispute has seen the closure of the Khafji and Wafra oil fields in the neutral zone, which have been pumping for more than half a century.

Liverpool agree £29m Firmino deal

Rivers Assembly moves on Amaechi to present handover note to Wike

The Rivers State House of Assembly has passed a resolution asking former Governor Rotimi Amaechi to submit a handover note to his successor, Governor Nyesom Wike. The motion was sponsored by the member representing Degema constituency, Hon. Farah Dagogo. During a debate on the motion, the lawmakers expressed dissatisfaction over Amaechi’s alleged negligence to the tenets of democracy. According to Farah, “Part of our oversight is to prevent people and institutions from doing the wrong thing. If we fail to do this, we are setting a bad precedence in the state.
