According to initial figures, numbers for the show dipped below six million last night. DSS Releases Identities Of 21 Alleged B/Haram Front-Line Members

Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) has released the identities of 21 alleged commanders and front-line members of the Boko Haram terrorist group arrested in different parts of the country. In a statement signed by Mr Tony Opuiyo, the DSS explained that the successful arrest is a result of the services’ “re-strategised measures to combat the insurgency menace”. The suspects are said to have been arrested in Lagos, Kano, Plateau, Enugu and Gombe States between July 8 and August 25, 2015.

APC leaders upset as Pres. Buhari appoints more Northerners

There was outrage in the ruling All Progressives Congress party on Thursday over the announcement of new appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari. Leaders of the APC complained that the appointments were mostly in favour of the North and Northerners. "The President does not consult before making most of these appointments and I can tell you that Nigerians are going to term the party and the President as a northern party and the President of Northern Nigeria," a leader of the party said on Tuesday.

Nigeria's Warri refinery has been shut down temporarily and operations will resume by Tuesday, a spokesman for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said on Thursday. Oil sales account for about 70 percent of government revenue in Africa's top crude producer. It imports most of the fuel used by its 170 million inhabitants, however, because of its ageing, inefficientrefineries in Warri, Kaduna and Port Harcourt.

In a letter, with reference number CB/33/80/IGP.SEC/Abj/Vol.52/60, and dated July 14, 2015, Mr. Arase directed the EFCC to compile a list of all officers in the category, and forward to his office without delay.

W/Bank offers FG N27.58bn for community projects

World Bank The World Bank on Wednesday said it would soon start the disbursement of $140m (N27.58bn) under its assisted Community and Social Development Project to 26 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The bank, in a statement issued in Abuja and made available to our correspondent, said about $200m (N39.4bn) had been disbursed under the first phase of the project, thus bringing the total amount provided under the programme to $340m (N66.98bn)
