Enugu House of Assembly battles Chime, moves to arrest Attorney-General

Chime The sour relationship between Governor Sullivan Chime and members of the Enugu State House of Assembly worsened Tuesday as a lawmaker, Hon. John Bull Nwagu, representing Udi North, has been suspended for alleged gross misconduct. DAILY POST gathered that the lawmaker had allegedly berated the House of Assembly for refusing the Governor’s N11 billion loan request.

Governor Ayo Fayose and hundreds of his supporters in Ekiti state, are currently celebrating his Supreme Court victory in Ado Ekiti. The Supreme Court earlier today, April 14, upheld Fayose’s victory in the July 2014 governorship poll. The suit was dismissed by a 7-man panel led by Justice John Fabiyi. See photos below:

Day Orekoya Mom Breaks Down On TV Over Missing Kids (Video)

Mother of the three, Mrs Orekoya whose children were kidnapped in Lagos tearfully appealed for help to recover her missing kids. The family hired a nanny, Mary Akinloye, 23, who kidnapped the children the day after she resumed work. She has since demanded N13 million ransome for the release of the kids.

YFM host, Princess Ada kidnapped…abductors post gang-rape pictures on her Facebook

YFM host, Princess Ada is reported missing and alleged photos of her kidnappers abusing her have been posted on her Facebook wall. The photos which were posted by the abductors using her phone included photos of them cutting off her hair and gang-raping her. The identity of the boys are still not known, neither is their reason for the wicked act known. YFM Ghana issues the following statement on social media on Monday night:

LUTH Denies Ebola Rumours

The Lagos University Teaching Hospital Idi-Araba management team has denied rumours that the deadly Ebola virus has brought back its ugly head in the country. The rumour had surfaced through social media that two foreign nationals, who were taken to LUTH, had died of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) . “Our attention has been drawn to a malicious piece of information making the rounds on social media, which purported that two foreign nationals brought to LUTH on Sunday, April 12, 2015 died of EVD,”Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Chris Bode, said on Monday.

Nigeria: PDP's Ifeanyi Okowa Wins Governorship Election in Delta

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday declared Ifeanyi Okowa, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, winner of Saturday's governorship election in Delta state. The Returning Officer for the election, Bio Nyananyo, announced in Asaba, the Delta state capital, that Mr. Okowa polled 724,680 votes to beat his closest rival, Great Ogboru of the Labour Party, who got 130,028 votes.
