MARY J. BLIGE FILES FOR DIVORCE FROM HUSBAND/MANAGER

Image
Mary J. Blige just pulled the plug on her marriage to her husband/manager ... filing for divorce to end her 12 year marriage, TMZ has learned. Blige just filed docs seeking to end her union from Martin "Kendu" Isaacs -- who she married back in 2003. Blige lists the date of separation as "to be determined" -- unclear why. Blige cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The couple has no children together. There is one interesting note ... Blige is asking the judge to block Isaacs' ability to get spousal support. The document does not say if there is a prenup. We reached out to Blige and Isaacs -- so far, no word back. Unclear what went wrong -- but back in 2014, Blige talked about the challenges of dating her manager during an interview with Stella Magazine. "He always has my back -- he’s going to fight to the death for Mary J Blige. The downside is that there’s no separation -- it’s on all the time." "When y

Kanye West surprises fans at Drake concert, then predictably bashes Taylor Swift

Image
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian aren’t letting the Taylor Swift thing go. Not at all.  As part of a rapid-fire quiz for a Harper’s Bazaar story, the two gave these answers when asked for their favorite Taylor Swift song:  “For me?,” he said. “I don’t have one.”  Said Kim, “I was such a fan of hers.”  Key word there: “was.” Now, one might argue that they were only answering the question that was posed to them, and that they had no control over what went into the story, and one might note that the interview was given before Kardashian posted surreptitiously recorded video of her husband talking to Swift about a lyric in his song “Famous.”  (You know, the phone conversation where she was cool with him saying, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” but nobody says anything at all about the other lyric where he says, “I made that bitch famous.” That second bit would be the part that upset Swift enough that she dedicated her Grammys acceptance speech to shredding

Paul Clement has teamed-up once again with Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern Munich and the Bundesliga champions have blocked him from also working with England. Photograph: A. Hassenstein/Getty Images for FC Bayern Sam Allardyce has suffered his first setback as England’s new manager after Bayern Munich blocked the Football Association’s attempt to make Paul Clement part of the new regime. Allardyce had identified Clement for a key role behind the scenes and the Bayern head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, was understood to be open about the idea of his assistant joining England during international breaks. However, it has now emerged that the Bundesliga champions, preparing for life after Pep Guardiola, have told Clement they do not like the idea of him job-sharing if it means there are times when he is away during the season. Bayern’s stance is that Clement should be fully concentrated on one job alone. Allardyce is now reluctantly looking at other options and, though the FA may yet make a second

These 5 Facts Explain Hillary Clinton’s Foreign Policy Evolution

Image
What the world could expect from a President Hillary Clinton “Do I contradict myself? Very well, I contradict myself.” So said Walt Whitman. Hillary Clinton’s critics say she shifts her positions for political convenience. Her fans say the evolution of her views shows that she listens and learns. Either way, there are significant differences between Secretary of State Clinton, candidate Clinton, and what we might expect from a President Clinton. These 5 facts detail those differences. 1. Iraq War Criticism of Clinton’s foreign policy invariably begins before her tenure as the Obama administration’s lead diplomat. Clinton, along with 76 other senators, voted in favor of the Iraq War in 2002. The junior senator from New York, Clinton would eventually issue a mea culpa in a 2014 memoir: “I thought I had acted in good faith and made the best decision I could with the information I had. And I wasn’t alone in getting it wrong. But I still got it wrong. Plain and simple.” And if Clinton wa

Mikel said he donated no money to the Olympic squad

Captain of Team Nigeria to the Rio Olympics, John Mikel Obi has denied media reports making the rounds in Nigeria that he gave 30,000 dollars to his team –mates in the U23 team presently camping in Atlanta, USA. Speaking from the team’s camp at the Hyatt Place, the Super Eagles captain was furious: “I was first told of this unfortunate story by a friend who called me from Nigeria. I thought he was joking until he sent me the link. “I don’t know the source of this story which to me is all out to divide us as a team. I would have thought that stories that should be coming out in the media are stories that will unite the team instead of dividing us. Our target in Rio is to excel, but if they continue like this, then I wonder how we can be united.” Wondering why the writer thinks that the players are hungry that needed his money, Mikel asked: “Tell me the players who are in this team that are so hungry that will be looking up to me for survival? Is it (William) Ekong, (Oghenekaro) Ete

Paul Pogba will cost Manchester United an initial £93m from Juventus. Photograph: Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images Manchester United are preparing the contracts and documents to finalise the signing of Paul Pogba from Juventus for €110m (£93m) plus add-ons. The Italian club are set to formally accept United’s bid and were meeting Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, in Turin on Thursday to finalise the details of a transfer which will make the France midfielder the world’s most expensive player. The points to be settled at that meeting revolve around the add-ons. United have offered €10m and Juventus want a further €5m if Pogba extends his contract. United have held their own talks with Raiola about the agent’s €20m fee, which Juventus have insisted the Premier League club must pay in full. Pobga is set to become United’s fourth signing since José Mourinho was appointed as manager, following Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Erdogan's military overhaul: Turkish president rings the changes at summit with his remaining generals as he prepares to make raft of promotions after firing 1,700 officers

Image
Turkey's top brass and political leaders have sat down to discuss a major overhaul of the armed forces after a failed military coup that has shaken the nation of nearly 80 million people and alarmed its NATO allies. In a symbolic sign of how civilian authorities are now firmly in charge, Thursday's Turkish Supreme Military Council was held at the office of Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim rather than General Staff headquarters. And President Erdogan is chairing the meeting. The meeting will last one day instead of the usual three and is set to address the failed coup attempt and dismissals, plus a new military structure and possible promotions. Hours before the Supreme Military Council began its annual meeting, the armed forces dishonourably discharged nearly 1,700 personnel for their alleged role in the July 15-16 putsch in which a faction of the armed forces tried to topple President Tayyip Erdogan. Yildirim also accompanied senior military offic
