What happens when women are too old for the oldest profession? Inside the retirement home for Mexican sex workers

  These are the amazing images of a retirement shelter for Mexico City's sex workers, where some of the most marginalized people in society can find safety and happiness.

The Casa Xochiquetzal shelter is a government-run retirement community for the city's elderly sex workers.
As well as providing shelter, Casa Xochiquetzal offers community, health services and food to prostitutes who are no longer in a position to support themselves.
The prostitutes are also helped discover their human rights and their self confidence. Also, counselling is available to help the women cope with the trauma of their years working in the sex industry.
