Catalina Clouser, 21, drove 12 miles home before realising the two-month-old tot was not inside the vehicle and was arrested as she re-traced her journey. The tiny baby was discovered by a passerby, still in a car seat and miraculously unharmed, in the middle of a highway.

News has learned that the singer will stay at the hospital for her severe allergic reaction, and is "devastated" about missing her  Bangerz  concerts. "Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago. She was prescribed the antibiotic cephalexin which she has now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to," Cyrus' rep exclusively tells E! News. "This type of extreme reaction can last from 5 to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a Doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans."

Samsung And Amazon Team Up For Custom Galaxy Kindle E-Book App

So much for  trashing the Kindle . Today Samsung is announcing a new app, Kindle for Samsung, created in partnership with Amazon, that will let Galaxy device users using Android 4.0 and up, starting with the  Galaxy S5,  to buy and read content from Amazon’s catalog of magazines, newspapers and books. The app will going live across 90 countries this month. Amazon and Samsung are also launching a free book service, Samsung Book Deals, for users of the app. This is a referral program, where those who get recommended the service, and then use it, get up to 12 free books each year from a selection provided by Amazon. The move is interesting for a few reasons. The first is that it’s a sign of how, although Samsung is quite happy to throw shade on Amazon from the point of view of hardware competition, at the end of the day it continues to look for interesting content that will keep people coming back to its own platform. Police, SSS, military declare war on kidnappers in Rivers

Security agencies in Rivers State have set up a special patrol team comprising the Police, Army, Navy, Air Force and the Department of State Security, to curb high rate of kidnapping and armed robbery in the state. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Tunde Ogunsakin, and other service commanders in the state, yesterday, inaugurated the outfit codenamed, “Operation Spark”. Speaking on behalf of the service commanders, Ogunsakin said the team would carry out, “overt and extensive covert operations,” in remote and urban areas to combat crime in the state. The Police boss said that troops attached to the team had received special and professional training to enable them ensure that law and order were restored in the state soonest. “The team, codenamed ‘Operation Shark’, will take conventional law enforcement to areas that are somewhat difficult to operate, with the intention to end criminal activities throughout the state.

Gas explosion kills 3 in Imo

No fewer than three persons died in a gas explosion that destroyed a section of a vegetable oil and bottled water production company in Orlu, Imo State. Two other persons were reportedly injured. It was gathered that the victims of the early morning explosion were employees  of the company, Sea Master Industries Limited at Amaifeke in Orlu Local Government Area of the state. The cause of the explosion was yet to be ascertained, but it was gathered that the gas tank of the company exploded in the early hours of Tuesday, while production was in progress. The impact of the explosion, according to sources, shattered glasses and screens in the surrounding buildings. A top management staff of the company, who pleaded anonymity, described the incident as sad and unfortunate, explaining that the members of staff, who died in the blast were on routine maintenance services on top of the gas tank  cleaning and opening blockages from the nozzles, when the explosion occurred.  Armed Boko Haram Thirty-five people, including a soldier were feared killed at Wukari in Taraba State in a fresh violent clash between the native Jukuns and Hausa settlers in the ancient city. Besides, no fewer than 100 people, including two soldiers, were said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries in the clash and are currently on admission at the General Hospital in Wukari and other medical facilities in the ancient town. The clash, which was triggered by the killing of Jukun youths at Nwokyo village by Fulani herdsmen in which nine people were killed, erupted at about 7:30p.m. on Tuesday as Jukuns and the Hausa’s engaged in a gun duel which lasted till 11a.m. yesterday before the situation was brought under control by soldiers from 93 Battalion, Adda Barracks, Takum. The unprecedented string of attacks has many questioning the role of politicians in the insurgency and the ability of the military to contain the five-year-old Islamic uprising that has resulted in the death of more than 1,500 people this year, compared with an estimated 3,600 from 2010 to 2012. Yesterday morning, gunmen attacked the village of Wala, in Gwoza district, and killed 18 people, and injured several others, according to a local government official and intelligence agent. President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has summoned members of the National Security Council to a meeting tomorrow at the Presidential Villa against the background of recent events and developments in the country. The meeting which will be presided over by President Jonathan is scheduled for thursday at 11:am Those expected at the meeting include Vice President Namadi Sambo, the Minister of Defence, Lt.-Gen Aliyu Gusau, the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.), the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of the State Security Services and the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency. The meeting of the National Security Council will be followed at 1300 Hours by an enlarged meeting on security developments in the country to which President Jonathan has invited State Governors.

DHQ: Only Eight of the Abducted Students Missing

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has confirmed that most of the 129 female students abducted have been freed with only eight of them  yet to be found. The Director of Defence Information (DDI), Maj-Gen. Chris Olukolade confirmed this Wednesday night in a text message. Olukolade said: “More students of the GGSS Chibok have been freed this evening in the ongoing  Search and Rescue operations to  free the abducted students. “With this development, the Principal of the school  confirmed that only eight of the students are still missing. ” One of the terrorists who carried out the attack on the school has also been captured”. Terrorist group abducts Nigerian girls  Heavily armed men descended on the school as the girls slept. Bullets flew as guards fought back, but they lost. The group is known to have carried out deadly attacks on other schools in the northeast. In a clip released by the group on March 23, leader Abubakar Shekau threatened to launch raids and abduct girls from schools. "They took away my daughter and my niece ... and we fear for their safety in the hands of these merciless people that take delight in killing and destruction," said the mother of one of the abducted girls. "I don't know what to do. The whole family is confused and we have turned to prayers, which is all we have." In early March, Borno state's government closed all its 85 secondary schools and sent more than 120,000 students home after increasing Boko Haram attacks.
