Nicki Minaj Clarifies Her BET Awards Acceptance Speech & We’re Like Oh…

Image
As much as I love  Nicki Minaj  (trust me my admiration runs deep) and everything she stands for, something isn’t quite right with her response to the uproar following her  acceptance speech at the 2014 BET Awards . The  “Pills N Potions”  rapper was clearly throwing shade as she pretended to sip tea and blast fake rappers who don’t write their rhymes, but wants us to believe that she was really just defending the women rap game. Whether her words were aimed at Iggy or not, the blatant statement rocked the Internet. “My point is, what I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” she said. “And it made me realize, I don’t care what anybody got to say. I’m going to do me,” she said. “And I hope and pray that BET continues to honor authenticity.” Nicki attempted to clarify her acceptance speech on Twitter, saying:

Kim Kardashian digs out another skintight number for casual stroll after gushing about motherhood

Image
The reality star seems to be having a bit of a contest with herself - 'which dress can cling to me more? Just when you thought Kim Kardashian had worn every single one of the skintight dresses, she emerges in another one. Kanye West's missus showed us all how to shop in style - and no doubt make a few fellow shoppers' eyes pop out in the process - when she headed out in New York today. The brunette beauty showed off her enviable cleavage and famous bum in the light grey dress - which acted more like a second skin than anything else. And it was a good day in the world of all things Kim, because she was smiling almost all the way into the shops - no pout in sight. Perhaps she was thinking of her beloved daughter North at home.

No precise sum was agreed when the clubs met in London for talks on Wednesday, but Barcelona have accepted they will have to stump up more than their opening £60million bid to sign Suarez. The Reds  price  last season's double Player of the Year  at £75m and have told Barca to forget about  brokering a cut-price deal  because of  his four-month ban for biting  Giorgio Chiellini last month while playing for Uruguay at the World Cup. The Swiss defender was on hand as France hammered five past them in the group stage but the FIFA-approved Castrol Index has in him in the top 10 Clive Brunskill Swiss ease: Djourou's performances in Brazil have apparently put him in the top 10 Johan Djourou has had a better World Cup than Lionel Messi, according to  a FIFA-approved ranking system. The Castrol Index ranks players based on numerous variables and "uses the latest technology to objectively analyse player performance", and helps identify "which players truly deserve to grab all the headlines." And when all the numbers are crunched the Swiss defender makes the top 10. That's right,  the same Swiss defender  who was on hand as France hammered five past them in the group stage. And  Argentine Messi  missed out on the top 10 altogether despite getting the man of the match award in all of the matches he has played. Brazilian defender David Luiz  has apparently been the best player at t

The singer  also revealed the shocking foul-mouthed text she sent the music mogul after being humiliated just weeks into her high-profile job. She told Elle UK : "I can talk about this because I'm OK about it now. But I went through hell and it literally drove me mad. I became so desensitised, you could say terrible things to me and I wouldn't even think about it. "I'd read awful stuff about myself and not blink. I shut down because I didn't know what else to do." Robin Thicke Hasn’t Seen Paula Patton In How Long?

Image
No wonder Robin Thicke has been begging like Keith Sweat for his estranged wife Paula Patton to forgive him, he hasn’t seen her in four months! *Sheds tear* Or is this shameless promotion for his  album “Paula”  (that he named after her) in-stores today? Robin Thicke has been on a campaign to win back his high school sweat heart, but it clearly isn’t working. The couple haven’t laid eyes on each other in months. Perhaps Robin should have thought of the consequences before getting caught up in  numerous cheating rumors  (or photo’d with his hand palming another woman’s a**). We’re sure Paula is tired of him performing his baby, baby please jam just as much as his former fans, who’ve sworn him off since the breakup, are. Yesterday, some poor intern thought up the  hashtag #AskThick e that turned ugly with #AskRKelly speeds! Between the tweets accusing his of being a stalker, critics expressed just how much the “Blured Lines” crooner needs to knock it off. As much as we’re advoca

Sharia partly to blame for Boko Haram says Soyinka

Image
Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka has  blamed  governments for allowing religious fanaticism to undermine Nigeria’s broadly secular constitution, starting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo allowing some states to declare Sharia law in the early 2000s. According to him “When the spectre of Sharia first came up, for political reasons, this was allowed to hold, instead of the president defending the Constitution. Soyinka who spoke with Reuters in Abeokuta on Wednesday said “We cannot ignore the negative impact which both have had on African society… They are imperialist forces: intervening, arrogant. Modern Africa has been distorted.” He noted that while the leadership of Boko Haram needed to be “decapitated completely, “little had been done to present an alternative ideological vision to their “deluded” followers, driven largely by economic destitution and despair.    Soyinka, also contended that  Nigeria is suffering greater carnage at the hands of Boko Haram th

T.I. Defends Iggy Azalea

If you missed the  2014 BET Awards , you missed the most epic shade ever throw in an acceptance speech by an female rap artist of all time.  Nicki Minaj sipped the tea as she subliminally blasted potential competitor Iggy Azalea,  accusing her of not writing her own rhymes. Iggy had just performed her hit song “Fancy” and “No Mediocre” with T.I. earlier in the show. 92Q Jams caught up with T.I., what appears to be before the show, and picked his brain on the Australian artist. “Iggy is a hard worker. She’s been grinding, really paying her dues and putting her work in for quite some time,” he said without elaborating. There’s no telling if Iggy actually pens her “Fancy” bars. The world watched in shock during this year’s  BET Awards  when  Nicki Minaj  took jabs at newcomer Iggy Azalea  during Nicki’s acceptance speech after winning the  best female hip-hop artist  award for the fifth year in a row. I was sitting in the awards show and witnessed it live. It appeared all of Nic
