The police in Lagos have arrested three members of a gang alleged to be dealers in human parts. The suspects, Mustapha Murtala, Sunday Oluyeba and Adenike Olanrewaju ,were caught with 2 human skulls and were arrested after the police received a tip-off regarding their activities. Murtala said: “I am a herbalist from Sagamu, Ogun State. I was introduced to human parts business by one Sunday Oluyeba three years ago. They later came and requested a human head with an offer of N30,000. They said they wanted to use it to prepare concoction for a pregnant woman in labour . “Sunday brought the human head and I paid him N15,000 for it. This is the second time I am buying a human skull from him. I do not know where he got them from.”

Lagos State Police Command is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the kidnap and murder of a 20-year-old undergraduate, identified as John Chinedu Okere, who until his death was a 300 level Electrical Engineering student at Covenant University, Otta in Ogun State. According to reports, Chinedu left his parents house in the morning of Wednesday, August 6, 2014, to a Hospital in Yaba, Lagos for medical reasons and never returned. He reportedly left home with about N6000 and that was the last time he was seen alive. The mysterious disappearance of Chinedu, caused a stir as the parents ran helter-skelter, in search of him to no avail. They gathered from some family members that one of his friends called on phone earlier that morning to tell him to meet him at an undisclosed hotel.
